Handbag Heaven

Love purses more than shoes, food, and you know what.
Selection at The Daisy Shop is mind boggling.
Gotta take your time to 'peruse,' as Barbara recommended. Listened to her advice and targetted wonderful Longchamp purse not available in US. Then learned it was on sale at 20% off. (Wasn't listening when I entered shop and was told Season's End Sale going on.)
Will return often.
Think you should go to the Shop and the website, too. They're awfully nice and patient with zingy customers like me.
- Pros: Perfect condition, authentic, no knock offs, excellent selection
- Cons: Parking is expensive on Oak St.
For the less than the retail price

of a single Chanel blouse, I bought 2 current Chanel blouses and 1 current Chanel Twin Set, all in perfect condition, at The Daisy Shop with extraordinary helpful advice from Barbara and Herta. This place is a magical shopping boutique. You gotta go there.
- Pros: Glorious clothing, helpful staff, wonderful website
- Cons: none
Wonderful Clothing and Accessories; marvelous Mid-west Hospitality
by SylviaEngland
Am a visitor from England, from a small village where shopping is abysmal. Concierge recommended The Daisy Shop as a fun, unique place to visit for good clothing and accessories at good prices, especially now that the British pound is strong. She was right on the mark. Barbara and Anna were helpful, cordial, knew their stuff. I was delighted to walk out with a glorious Loro Piano cashmere sweater and coordinating Vintage Christian Dior scarf, two things I would never find at home. It was easy to price shop the sweater for Loro Piano was just down the street from The Daisy Shop and I got a bargain. I do recommend The Daisy Shop.
- Pros: friendly, good selection, good prices, remarkable condition
- Cons: can't think of a single con
Best Selection of St. John
by ChopSuey
Hundreds of St. Johns - hard to choose which one(s) to buy...good size range, helpful staff, clothing in excellent condition. Glad I heard about Shop. Love St. John and was able to fill in on Classic Black at decent price. Recommend this Shop.
- Pros: no knock offs; good condition; large selection
- Cons: none
Avoid Internet Orders!!!
by utexasgirl
I recently tried to place an online order with the Daisy shop. I found the process to be anything but hassle free. You are supposed to either mail in your form or fax it to the appropriate number. I shop online all the time and though I found this method a little unconventional I faxed the form anyways. Shortly after I faxed the form I received an e-mail from someone at the store. The e-mail I received was not at all what I had expected. The response stated that I had filled out the form wrong and that I should "ask an adult to help me fill it out correctly"- As if I'm a child incapable of filling out an order form? I found this quite offensive. I'm the customer! After receiving the message I responded appropriately. I received a response but it was not what I had hoped for. Needless to say I never got the apology I thought I deserved. I would not recommend this store to online shoppers. They have great customer service in the regard that they respond quickly but not when it comes to respecting the customer.
- Pros: Quick Response
- Cons: Does Not Value The Customer- Disrespectful
This resale shop is off the charts

for authentic couture merchandise abundance, condition (When they say pristine, they mean it.), and customer servicing!
I would rate The Daisy Shop a 20.
I admit, I'm a binge shopper at resale shops, and I binged at The Daisy Shop, couldn't stop myself, didn't want to, truth be told.
For the price of a new Chanel suit with skirt, I got 9 couture garments, and 1\9 garments was a fabulous tweed Chanel jacket. Barbara helped me with fit and styling, just like Chanel's staff helps with fit and styling.
This place amazed me.
- Pros: abundance, authentic, customer service
Vintage fashionistas with deep pockets dig for casual couture and glamorous gowns.

In Short
Dedicated deal hunters are rewarded for shopping here--it's a label-junkie's dream. Pants, coats and dresses are from noted designers--some styles are still trendy, others used to be. St. John, Escada and Yves St. Laurent suits have an estate-sale feel, while minks, Gucci handbags and Chanel cuff links no doubt once belonged to someone dripping with diamonds. Display cases are filled with dainty gloves, fun faux jewels and elaborate handbags worthy of Jackie O.
It's worth the ride to travel

to The Daisy Shop from where I live. I found the best assortment of Vintage gowns with wonderful couture labels and styles for the wedding I was invited to that I got sensory overload. Barbara noticed what had happened, came over to me, and gently recommended a particular gown that I would not have selected on my own. She encouraged me to try it on, and when I did, it was the right one. She knows her 'stuff.'
- Pros: assortment, perfect condition, value
I agree! I agree!

Never saw so much couture clothes and purses in one place, all authentic, all in perfect condition. Friendly staff who knows what couture is. Too pricey for binge-ing, but if you're selective you'll walk away with a fabulous find.
- Pros: authentic, good condition
I'm glad The Daisy Shop won!

Their Vintage merchandise is the best in Chicago for quality, style, and value. I pay the price because I'm worth it and intend to keep my Vintage forever!
