The Goods
One-of-a-kind ethnic furniture sets Material Possessions apart. Hand-carved and hand-painted bookcases, armoires, benches, chests, chairs, bureaus, dining room tables and ornate mirrors are made as far away as India and Indonesia. The handmade dinnerware selection is an impressive one: Expect overseas designers in the ranks of Annie Glass, Paul Hathcoat, Michael Wainwright and Vietre alongside American designers Helen Fabish, Steve Stewart and Alice Goldsmith. Other tableware includes stemware, napkin rings, glassware, bowls, platters, blown-glass salt-and-pepper shakers and serving utensils--also made by hand all around the world.
