The Scene
Guests are greeted by a first-floor valet, and then take an elevator to the seventh-floor lobby--a well-designed area with dark-wood paneling, Italian marble and crystal chandeliers that create an old-fashioned elegance not usually found in modern hotels.
The Details
Each of the hotel's 343 spacious rooms are loaded with amenities, like padded hangers, cordless phones, and bathrobes and slippers, while rooms on the upper floors offer spectacular views of the lake and the city. In addition to the hotel's restaurants, 24-hour room service is available. The health club includes ultramodern cardio and weight rooms, saunas and a luxurious pool area that resembles an ancient Roman bath. Forget your swim trunks? Swimsuits designed for one-time use are available from the pool attendant. The spa offers a wide range of pampering services, including massage, manicures, facials and body treatments.

I've stayed at the "Chicago" Four Seasons several times and never disappoints me! My last visit was the best yet! The rooms are luxurious, cozy, and most comfortable. The linens, pillows, and bed are better then you have at your home.
My spa experience was outstanding and recommend taking the time to get a massage. YOU CAN'T BEAT THE FOUR SEASONS CHICAGO.
- Pros: Rooms, Service, Luxury
- Cons: Expensive

I don't know what Reviewer #4 is talking about--clearly did NOT stay at the Four Seasons. It's only been rated either #1 or #2 hotel in the US for like the past 12 years. It's beautiful, clean, elegant and the service is spectacular. I can't wait to go back. And my husband claims his room service cheeseburger is the best burger he's ever had.
Not as good as they think!

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always been disappointed. Shabby rooms, smoky rooms, poor service. I don't know why this hotel is consistently rated as the tops in Chicago. I do like the pool and spa area, but I highly recommend sleeping elsewhere.
- Pros: great location, beautiful pool
- Cons: shabby rooms, snotty service
pricy but very very nice
