What users are saying:
Old-school workouts like racquet sports, swimming and actual running trump the latest technoyogaerobic hybrids and machinery.

The Scene
Located in a nearly windowless monolith bridged to adjacent pedestrian areas, the club's Wabash location packs a lot into four-and-a-half floors. The atmosphere is spartan, and both equipment and clientele are a few years older than at nearby gyms, but physical fitness is the emphasis.
The Workout
More than 70 classes weekly include step, Spin and sculpt, Pilates, various types of yoga, aquatics and more. And though many of these are available elsewhere--maybe with greater variety and frequency, for less money--the strength of LSAC is in options for those not reliant on fitness trends. It's the rare gym these days that claims both racquetball and squash, along with three full-size tennis courts. A lap pool and suspended running track cater to the treadmill-phobic, while the requisite banks of bikes and steppers are still available, as are various strength machines and free weights.
High price for location, not service
by bleupisces at Citysearch
The gym is well equiped, but the price is too high. I never climbed the wall, which costs extra anyway. The locker room is built so with no space to change. The area around the sauna and hot tub is always wet. And the staff is just rude. Really only went there because its across the street from work but when I took another job I joined another gym, for much less and got much more.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: rude staff, high price

Love the wide variety of classes- and the instructors are usually really good. This place also has a great lap pool and raquetball courts- which are often hard to come by. The weight room is not a meat market and the individual TVs on each machine make your work-out pass quickly. The food and juice bar serve pretty high quality meals. Locker rooms are very nice. Front Desk Staff could stand to be a little bit more friendly and helpful.
Discontented

While facility itself is impressive, front desk can be downright rude. Management at times has been unresponsive and/or unfriendly. I am not the only member who has remained at club solely because of location.
- Pros: Personal Training
- Cons: , Front Desk
Great Club
by princess7 at Citysearch
This club is great! Perfect location between my office and home...classes are included and not crowded...and I didn't have to sign a contract, their memberships are month to month. With my corporate discount I'm paying next to nothing.
- Pros: no crowds, monthly memberships, classes
dump
by johnblutarski2000 at Citysearch
These gyms are homey but they are dumps. Obviously built in the 70's and only given average upkeep. Machines are wobbly and the walls dirty.
They do have good locations
- Pros: location
- Cons: old, dirty
