Shuffleboard and Beer. What more could you want?. Toons is one of my favorite bars in Chicago. They have excellent beers on tap and have provided me consistently friendly service. The bar is also lively but never packed which I also like (although the owners may not)

The sandwich selection is also very good for a bar - I often go there to eat lunch.

The best part of the bar is the addictive shuffleboard game in the rear part of the bar. Trust me - you can spend hours playing this game!

Home sweet Home. Toons is absolutely the next best thing to New Orleans. Well okay, they rarely have live music, but have an eclectic jukebox. I beg to differ on the young backwards hat wearing description of their patrons!! You can find all sorts, the yuppies, the astute citizens (hi Floyd), the pro-drinkers, sports addicts, game players, musicians, families and then the crew...all good peeps. Danny- kewlest bar owner I know (I've known a few in my rather middle-aged life), and he knows how to throw a grand party; try out the crawfish boil on Memorial weekend or the pig roast during Labor Day weekend. Cocktails- tall, wonderful span of draft and bottled beer; all reasonably priced. Menu- wide variety of fare, my fave: toss up between the blackend tuna caesar salad and the turkey burger!
