Danny is fantastic

I moved from Chicago in 2001 and flew in from Paris and now fly in from New York to get my hair cut and colored by Danny. He takes the time to understand as much as he can about your preferences, your schedule, your style -- your life. It's a collaboration. He's also a perfectionist. I've had people chase me down the street or stop me in stores to ask where I get my hair cut.

• Pros: I always feel like they're working with me to give me what I need
• Cons: I live in New York!

Maureen Rocks

I have been with Maureen for 20 years. My hair looks natural and I contiinually get compliments. All my friends in the suburbs know I have been making the trip into the city and they still say, she is so worth it:) The salon has an awesome view of rush street, beautiful window, awesome magazines and all dif types of people. It's home.

• Pros: The best colorist and stylist in town
• Cons: Climbing the stairs, but worth it.

Noel is an artist with scissors

I am so happy that Noel Shaw is cutting hair again!!! I started going to him at Ivan Noel years ago (which then switched names to something like Studio Vitale ...). It was a sad day when he retired, but a great day when he came back to Nancy Angelair (and I love that it is close to his old location right on Rush). He gives great cuts each and every time ... something that can be a challenge with my challenging hair. If anyone wants perfect layers and an awesome blowout, he's your guy.

Great Place to Get Your Hair Cut - Downtown

I was greeted by a very friendly front-desk person. They were ready for me when I got there. The salon is very simple for a Downtown salon. You walk in - you go into a dressing room - put on a smock....if you want. No one to tip or help you with your clothing.

Everyone was really friendly.

The haircut: Nancy Angelair cut my hair. WOW!!!

I've never had a better haircut. My hair feels like mink!

She took over 30 minutes to cut my hair.

The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new place to get your haircut to give the salon a try. D

Elaine is Hot

Absolutely Fabulous!

I have been a client of Ron Weber at the Nancy Angelair Salon for quite a few years. I always walk out looking fabulous, both cut and color. The salon is always clean and Elaine, the receptionist, always remembers me by name and knows exactly how I like to book my appointments. Tracy gives the best manicures and pedicures.

During the holidays, the salon has the best Christmas cookies. Nancy has created a welcoming environment and the staff is friendly and fun to be around.

Hair fabulous, staff not.

I have extremely mixed feelings about Nancy Angelair. I have frequented it for a few years and no longer go there.

My beautician was Nancy herself. She is great. Always pleasant to talk to, colors hair wonderfully, and cuts are to die for! She is always creative when I would like something a bit new. I would recommend her to anyone.

However, her staff needs some help or she needs new staff. From the receptionist down to the other barbers & beauticians they are so "uppity" rude and need to get much more down to earth. I continued to go as I really loved what Nancy did. But I have now chosen not to return JUST because of the staff.

• Pros: great color, great cuts
• Cons: staff needs to get much more down to earth & friendly
