WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
by icee99
"I cannot tell you how embarrased I am to have brought my friend here. I went online and saw a nice selection of shoes and decided to go with a friend to get a great pair of shoes. I was raving about what great shoes they have on the way in the car. We get there and it is a mess.. ok I am used to seeing this layout kindof like DSW but a little cramped... fine. I walk around the whole place for nothing because the best 3 pairs of shoes are right in front at prices from $180 -250. I was looking at shoes when an associate asks me if I know what I am looking for I respond and tell her I am looking for a black bootie shoe but with a closed toe. Her Response was OK YOU KNOW WE ARE CLOSED RIGHT and looks at me as I need to just go. So basically she should have told me to get out because she wants to go home. My friend left the shoes she was going to buy and I put down mine and we left to never go back again. I cannot understand more about customer service and that was very low and unacceptable. If I want designer shoes I will keep going to Nordstrom which has those same designers, same prices and parking.. no Lori's is not cheaper or a gem or a good find. Don't waste your time here while Aldo closes on Halsted"
- Pros: I could honestly not recommend anything
- Cons: Selection, Store Mess, Customer Service and Value are all poor condition

Customer service is nonexistent, all these sales women walking around without a clue as to what the word service means. They must get paid just to watch. There is no personal approach to make you feel welcome.Nice shoes but I won't be back, I don't need to feel like your doing me a favor .
WORST STORE IN CHICAGO.
by jsith123
I went to Lori's last week and had the worse experience in the world. The staff had to have had training on how to be the rudest individuals in Chicago. I wanted to buy a pair of $300 shoes and the salespeople took 30 minutes to help me sort through the mess they call a store to find a size. The whole time they acted like I was a bad person for making them do their job. It's not my fault they decided to stack every pair of shoe they had on the floor, with no sense of order. There is a reason Nordstrom or anyother shoe store in America keeps multiple pairs on the floor, it was a mess. At one point the salesperson argued with me that they are successful enough that they don't need my business, then I overheard one salesperson say to another that they don't carry sizes for fat people.
My experience was so bad, I almost don't believe it could have happened. I wouldn't have been surprised if they would have kicked my dog, if they had the chance.
I will never step foot in their store again and I have told all my friends not to go either.
- Pros: That I never have to go there again
- Cons: Rude Salespeople, Mess of a store, Damaged product because everything was just thrown on the floor
I agree about the staff
by chicagocitygirl70
but Lori's does have a large selection on shoes and handbags. The staff at times seems as if you are bothering them BUT the selection and the prices are sooo good! That is whyI continue to go there, I love a good deal, no matter what!
- Pros: price, selection
- Cons: staff-not always
I had to laugh

I agree with the one reviewer about the sales staff at Lori's. And normally I wouldn't shop at a store where I had been treated so rudely, but Lori's is a one of a kind. I don't spend nearly the money I would if I felt welcomed and appreciated, but they do have great shoes and bags at reasonable prices and their sales are tremendous. Just try to overlook the snobbery of the staff who obviously earn way less money then you or I do.
- Pros: Great Shoes, Really nice jewelry, Quality products
- Cons: Rude staff, Rude staff, Rude staff
Unknowledgeable, Arrogant, Unhelpful

WORST PLACE TO GET SHOES IN CHICAGO! BEWARE!
No shoes are worth the salespeople in this stote. Even regulars are looked down upon and generally poorly served. Find the shoes you love there and buy them from a store you can trust. You may be told whatever it takes to get you to buy a pair of shoes you can't return!
If you try, be ready for a some of the worst, rudest service you can imagine. You probably won't leave with a refund or credit for unworn shoes, but you may escape uninsulted.
- Cons: Unknowledgeable, Rude, Unhelpful
Lori's is a GREAT store.
by kimabe1971
I think Lori's is great! Being a person who has limited choices as I wear a size 11, Lori's is a great option that offers more than a DSW or Nordstroms. You never have to ask anyone if they have your size as you can see what they have for yourself. (I'm particularly disgusted at the looks on a salesperson's face when I ask them for my size.) They offer stylish, cute shoes in all varieties and although some may be expensive, most are reasonable. DSW rarely has my size. I will always make the 20 mile drive to Lori's if needed cause it worth.
- Pros: Variety, Size availability, Staff
- Cons: Parking, Parking, Parking
Sometimes towering higher than four feet, stacks of designer shoes make for beloved clutter.

The Scene
During weekends, hordes of bloodthirsty women flock to this Lincoln Park institution, often making it difficult to move around the store without knocking something over. The line can stretch as long as 20 people.
The Goods
The dizzying array of styles includes mules, sandals, boots, loafers, thongs, heels and more. Whatever you're into--shiny or furry shoes, wooden or rubber heels, fabric, plastic, genuine leather, gemstones, faux snakeskin--Lori's is bound to have it, especially if it's in style. Look for designers Franco Sarto, Narky, BCBG, Joan David, bebe, Vic Matie, Gastone Luciole, janet janet, Charles David, Via Spiga, Fruit, Steve Madden and more. You'll also find purses--from sleek, slender clutches to bright, flowered totes--beaded jewelry, sunglasses, hair clips and headbands.
Its the best
by allisonchicago
Though essentially consistent, Lori's has one of the most unique and outstanding product assortment in the Chicagoland area. There are shoes at varying pricepoints and they are merechandised by style, not price. Its very simple to find what you are looking for...and easier to find something special you would not have even thought of.
- Pros: variety, excellent merchandise, great service
- Cons: parking
