Great hand made pasta
by biancalou007
The food is really fresh and one can watch as the chef cooks, which is really nice...sometimes its hard to say how the cooks are handling the food back in the kitchen, but here its out in the open. The employees are always very friendly and accomodating.
The food is really good and is inexpensive. The handmade pastas are fantastic.
Great spot to meet for lunch or a casual dinner.
- Pros: Fresh, inexpensive, nice daily specials
- Cons: The restaurant itself is a little small
Homemade Pasta thats delicious
by shebes28
First off this place is delicious... I'm from NY so when I think of Italian food, I'd rather eat it in NY.. But this place was a pleasant surprise. You watch them cook in front of you. The aromas of the food make you hungrier. The food is so tasty and fresh! I would recommend this place to everyone!
- Pros: Fresh FOOD
- Cons: Cash Only
LOVE it
by ihearteating
Fantastic pasta. At first when I saw the menu I was a bit skeptical since they didn't offer fettucini alfredo, but after carefully ordering and stuffing my face on the polenta I became a believer. Great pasta, have yet to be disappointed and pretty good staff. I wish they did delivery and took credit
- Pros: food, service
- Cons: cash only
Thumbs up from everyone!

Dropped by here on a Saturday because it was empty, and had a fabulous surprise! I had the special with vodka tomato sauce, and it was the best pasta I'ce ever had! There were 6 of us in our group, and everyone was impressed with their meal. I could see how it might be uncomfortable if the place is crowded, but we were lucky in that respect.
Quick, quality pasta for bargain prices near the Armitage Avenue shopping district.

In Short
Popular for carry-out, this casual eatery lures hordes of dine-in customers too. A mosaic of bright green, red and blue dominates the cozy room, with dark wood accents, an open kitchen, and high tables. Basic Italian fare is the rule, with chalkboard specials to spice things up. Try popular cavatappi pollo, tender chicken mingled with corkscrew pasta, sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms in a creamy sauce. Smoked chicken ravioli with Gorgonzola tomato sauce is a standout special.
- Pros: good Italian foodbargain prices
- Cons: no reservations

I have eaten here several times and I have never been disappointed. Love the Penne Bolognese. Great Italian bread and olive oil.
- Pros: Atmosphere, Quality food, Great Location
- Cons: Parking
Great casual dinner spot
by whatvramen
Their food is great, and their prices are really inexpensive, especially for being in Lincoln Park. The restaurant is often full and you may have to wait for a table because it is pretty small, but you usually are seated promptly and the service is great. A tip - try Twist on Clark in Wrigleyville...same owner, great tapas restaurant!
- Pros: Good food, inexpensive, wucisk service
- Cons: often overcrowded
Yummy But not the Best
by elitegoddess
I thought the food here was very good, but it's certainly not the best place to eat. If you are near it, absolutely eat there, it's good. But if you are seeking out a new place and need to take transit or drive there, go elsewhere. I think you could do better.
- Pros: Hip ambience, Fantastic service
- Cons: Pasta kind of dry, Family-style seating, Crowded without room
cheap and noisy

excellent service and the price is unbeatable. enjoy the home made pastas on the back of the menu...the jalapeno gnocchi was remarkable. the abiance is rather loud but easily dealt with.
- Pros: inexpensive, delicous, service with a smile
- Cons: parking, loud inside, not stroller friendly
Good

This is a great casual pasta place. I always get the Penne Bolongese, it never lets me down. The grilled calamari is great, too. Sometimes the service is attentive, sometimes they hit on my husband. But the waitresses seem to revolve so quickly that there is no use getting upset. The tables are pushed together because the place is so small, that you are forced to sit with others, or you have to sit at the bar. The high tables and chairs (which are quite heavy) also make it difficult for those of us on the sort side to get in and out. It is cramped during busy times. We don't eat there when it's busy.
- Pros: good food
- Cons: street parking, tables
