WOW! My birthday cake from Roeser's was exceptional. A delicious chocolate torte filled with strawberries and topped with beautiful artwork icing. The best cake I've ever had!! Moist, decadent and delicious. Get your Roeser's!!!
- Pros: off street parking, quick service

Roeser's Bakery has been here since I was a kid. They take your order over the phone and always get it right for your pick up date & time. Despite the larger than normal number of employees available there is usually a wait. So be prepared to take a number & wait. Our favorite is whipped cream topping, strawberry filling with chocolate & yellow cake combination. Price is higher than average, considering there are other bakeries that make cake of comparable or equal quality for much lower prices. Parking available on North Ave.
Chicago's Landmark Bakery

I remember this bakery from the days of Bozo's Circus. After driving by on a Sunday, I decided to pull over and order a cake and take some doughnuts home. Great service, a smiling happy staff and just a wonderful tasting cake. Where some bakeries overdue the frosting, this cake had the correct amount without over doing it. Others seem to layer on the frosting and you get a sugary burn in your throat. This is a Chicago Landmark that you don't want to miss. *******
- Pros: great tasting treats
- Cons: Very busy on Saturday Mornings

Roeser's is the best! I have a huge sweet tooth and have always been satisfied at Roeser's Bakery. Each time I have gone in, whether to get a cake, bread, sweet roll, etc. I received friendly service. The parking lot next to the bakery helps a ton also! Their cakes truly are one of a kind. If you want somewhere new to go check out Roeser's-- its a great place for a sunday morning sweet or a to get a cake for a party. Compared to what else is available around me (Jewel, etc.) I will certainly drive the extra 10 minutes-- its worth it!
- Pros: Parking, service, product
- Cons: Can get a bit busy on the weekends

I spent most of my formative years within walking distance of this wonderful little bakery. They have been around a very long time and there is a good reason - they are DELICIOUS. When I was a child, my mom would take me here for their famous (smiley face) yellow cookies. I think they are still served here. But I also highly recommend their yellow cake, strawberry shortcakes. They do lots of special orders for weddings and parties. Best cakes in town - I hope they are around another 100 years!!
PROS: The best cakes in town! Convenient location
CONS:
Yeah , So it's West or Western...!!!
