I found Antique Resources through a friend. She got a spectacular chandelier for her dining room. I went there and was amazed with the most incredible selection I had seen. I even found a pair of sconces to match. My style is more modern, but the lighting is so classic that it goes with any decor. The staff was knowledgeable. I gave them the dimensions of the room and they gave me recommendations for the proper size and what would match my needs. I had not considered an antique before, but the quality was incomparable to the new stuff. I also thought about the added bonus of having the lighting as an an investment if I ever move and need to resell. I am know interested in antiques and paln on learning more about them. - Thank you Antique Resources!

Walking into this shop is like going into a wonderland of antiques. The owner will buzz people in, find out what they are looking for, and then leave them free to explore. He doesn't follows or bother customers. You just make your way through never ending rows of antiques, under oil paintings and antique lighting. Many of the antiques have magazine clips or stories nearby, describing the piece's history. It is a great help in understanding the whole process. Bring the antique home is the best part. You discover all the little details that were missed when shopping. That helps confirm one has made the right choice.

I have purchased several items from this shop. The quality is assured and the prices are reasonable. The owner is very particular about the quality of his merchandise and is often personally available for consultation. His knowledge and expertise are exceptional. While the owner is available primarily by appointment, and is not interested in browsers, he provides a wealth of knowledge and appropriate attention to the serious buyer.
Pros: off street parking, prices appropriate, individual attention

The merchandise is outstanding! And I've shopped in Paris, London, and New York. Quality period pieces at wholesale prices. However, you may need to ignore the moodiness of the owner. I have shopped there on several occasions and sometimes he is very charming, other times depressed or easily irriated. However, he is respected for his expertise and honesty. Also, as in Europe, it is a closed shop. You need to be buzzed in, so make sure you say what you are looking for to be let in. The staff is nice and extremely helpful. At the end, you pay reasonable prices for the pieces without the overpriced markups of fancier shops that charm your wallet away. There prices are not inflated to give large phoney discounts. Shop with confidence, nothing is misrepresented. All merchandise is guaranteed for authenticity, unlike other shops. However, expect matter of fact, fat free customer service.
Pros: Quality selection, Value for the money, Knowledgeable staff
Cons: Closed shop, Nice, but Moody Owner
