Wow! I'm so shocked! I finally found a doctor in this town I can actually trust, and one who doesn't make me feel like I'm in some bizzare experiment. Instead of calling my husband crying that I think the doctor was trying to experiment on me, this time I came away whistling. Dr. Tahbaz is a great dentist! He's the real deal! He's as trustworthy as they get. I can't wait until my next cleaning!
Pros: professionalism, bedside manner
Cons: conditon of office, but it's in the city, what can you expect?

Dr. Tahbaz is a great dentist. He is very patient (especially with those of us who are scared of dentists) and has a great bedside manner. He explains everything he is doing and answers your questions without any hesitation.

I dread going to the dentist because my mouth is a mess and it is always a long, expensive ardous process. However the dynamic team of Dr. Tahbaz and his efficient assistant have made this chore much easier. He was extremly professional and thorough as well as being understanding about my insurance needs. It took several months and 10 cavities later but my mouth is in much better shape. I have recommended him to several of my colleages because a good dentist much like a good hairdresser is extremely hard to find!

My visits w/ Dr. Tahbaz have all been very pleasant and painless experiences. I found him to have a great bedside manner - professional, knowledgeable, informative, efficient and thorough - while at the same time, friendly, easy going, enthusiastic and compassionate...and all with a gentle touch to boot! Although the office is small and the decor could use a little tlc, it has no bearing on the quality of work or care you will receive from this dedicated professional.

Dr. Tahbaz and his assistant are very pleasant and friendly. They both conduct themselves in a professional manner while engaging in friendly conversation. They're both practical and thourough in regard to exams and recommendations without being pushy. They also are helpful with any insurance or financial matters to ensure you get the proper care. Every visit has been a great experience regardless of the work that had to be done.
Pros: friendly, professional, thorough
Cons: cramped space, no parking

Like most city establishments, this doctor's office looks old and grungy. But I'm from the suburbs so I'm used to more cleanliness and modern-looking. I realize almost all the offices in Chicago have that same grungy, dilapidated, old europe look. The last dentist I went to I truly felt that it would be my last days on earth. But Dr. Tahbaz is refreshingly different. Yes, his office is like the rest, but his manner, technique and attitude are all very modern and efficient and he's very rational and professional. He did not sell me anything I didn't want, and even talked me out of a tooth whitening. I didn't have to wait in this small office and itemized costs were explained to me in detail by the receptionist. I can say I finally found a sane doctor in the city.

I found his bedside chatter way too opinionated and pushy for me. I also felt he was trying to push services and appliances that weren't covered by my insurance and I may not really need.
Pros: Seemed competent, Small office, Nice receptionist
Cons: Bad bedside chatter
