Poor customer service
by 4hunters
This used to be my garden center of choice, but not anymore. Just had a Christmas tree delivered; the guys refused to take their shoes off and tracked up the living room. I called to complain and just received a call from a fellow who claimed to be an owner; he was defensive from the beginning of the call and couldn't have been less helpful. Didn't even try to keep my biz. Oh well.
Knowledgable staff and great gift shop, especially at christmas

Many thanks to Jeff( hope I remembered the name correctly) who on a sunday morning about two weeks ago helped us pick a beautiful kentia palm. After weeks of remodeling, this tree was the crowning touch to our living room. Although I have bought all my landscape trees and shrubs from Gethsemane, this was my first houseplant. Jeff took so much time to answer our questions, concerns and indecision we left confident that we could take care of this plant. This kind of service is rare! Although sometimes spending more than planned, everything i have bought has flourished, proving it cost effective in the long run. Thanks again, chris and george
Always gorgeous and surprising

Really a great experience! Staff are often extremely helpful (as much as the busy weekend environment allows) and always full of good tips and suggestions. This is a real one-stop shop for your home garden or patio. I often take out of town guests to Gethsemane for the great views and unique plant material. Since they are open year-round, it's a good place for holiday shopping too. Don't miss their gift shop, the Wild Pansy. Always a treat.
Some folks have commented on the prices...but I looked and some items are priced lower than at Home Depot. With their quality, it is more than fair.
- Pros: great staff, high quality merchandise, rare items and good variety
- Cons: can be busy on weekends
Bad for big purchases

In an upscale garden center with upscale prices, customer service should be upscale as well. I have had pleasant experiences in the garden center for years, but wish I had not bought a fountain from them. The new staff and manager made promises that they only fulfilled after weeks of phone calls, missed apppointments, etc. The extra time I was required to spend accomodating their schedule and delays ended up costing me more than the $900 fountain. Consider shopping there for the small stuff and get everything they tell you in writing!
- Pros: Quality, Variety
- Cons: Uneven service, Expensive, Crowded
Wonderful!

It is such a breath of fresh air to enter this lovely nursery. I will never plants from Home Depot again! Plus, the staff are knowledgeable, and although they can be very busy during the planting season, they will answer your questions w.o making you feel like a moron!
Great prices on beautiful pots! Amazing sales! Dont forget the gift shop!
