The owner, Anthony, has some severe substance abuse problems. The guy is a loose cannon and the club is ran in complete disarray. Ive never been around a more pretentious club owner. I used to like the bar and drop 500-1000$ a weekend there,. but i learned that the staff., particularly the owner is an out of control egomaniac,. If u want to meet losers, go to Katacomb

recently tried katacomb again with some friends on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. the only 4 oclock place to go in the area!!! the vibe was different from the norm--dark and mysterious was a good change of pace from the typical bar scene and club crowd. the music was great adn the bartenders poured strong drinks for the price.. i think they are under new ownership as it is better than before!
Pros: vibe
Cons: hard to find parking!!!!!

$20 cover first off. The atmosphere does not merit $20 to walk through the door. I've been there a couple times and the DJ was good as far as i can remember. The atmosphere is unique and kinda cool, but doesn't do it for me. The reason I won't go back is because the last time I was there, the bartender charged me over 40 bucks for a jack and coke and redbull and vodka. She thought she could get away with it because I was drunk. The manager offered to change my tab and gave me a couple free shots. I got the new tab and I was still overcharged by about 15 bucks.
Pros: Unique atmosphere, decent DJ
Cons: overpriced, crappy bartenders

I'm from Milwaukee and every time we visit Chicago we visit Katacomb. The music is on point and always consistent!! 2 thumbs up!!

We took a group from out of town there on a saturday night and everyone thought we should leave right away. The place looked kind of dirty and the service was very poor. They were absolutely dead...the music was decent and the crowd was non existent. Nobody should ever pay a cover charge here....it's a dive!

Katacomb is a really funky place to go late night. As the name suggests it has low ceilings and a cave like feel to it. The drinks are reasonably priced and not watered down. Cover is a bit steap for an after hours club and although they have good music there's almost no room to actually dance.
Pros: fun environment, good drinks

I recently went there on a friday . And I would like to say that I was very impressed at the crowd of people.They were lade back and everyone party's to 4 am. The staff was great and it was very quick to get a drink and even quicker to get in.I give it a thumbs up!!!!!!!!

Signed up for this service just to comment on the phenomenal show I saw Wednesday, 9 - 18. Great music, a crowd filled with talent. If you're in to hip-hop, breakz... check them out!!
