My husband and I had a taste for some beef ribs So we decided to check out Ribs N Bibs and what a big mistake that was. The beef ribs were so tough it was ridiculous. I would not recommend that you order the beef ribs.
Decadent diet-busting food served at a meat-centric carryout barbecue shack.

In Short
Located near the University of Chicago, this South Side mainstay is where seniors and young ones alike come for finger-licking 'cue, all of which is smoked in-house and taken to go. Favorites are hickory-smoked ribs slathered in sweet sauce, rib tips, barbecue chicken and links. On the side, it's onion rings, fries and slaw.

The grilled chicken with out the sauce is absolutely DIVINE! Monday night dinner always consist of something from their menu.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly, Short waiting time
Second only to Lem's

The ribs are second only to Lem's. I would have rated them a 10 for food, but their fried chicken has always needed a little work. If you are going for both, get the ribs here and get the chicken at Harold's up the street.
- Pros: Ribs, Tips, Hotlinks
- Cons: Chicken, fries (too mushy)
These guys know what they're doing

These slow-cooked ribs are some of the best in Chicago. The meat comes easily off the bone (not crappy boiled ribs easy, but easy). And the sauce is unbelievable. If you're not that hungy, I recommend just getting an order of fries with sauce. I'm getting hungry writing this message.

Just so-so. I would go to Kenny's down the road for a better deal.
