Not what I expected

My first visit might be my last. A party of five visited this place on a Thursday evening. Wait staff was a bit
impatient, and not quite responsive to menu questions. The food presentation was good and flavor was very good. 18% gratuity was already added to check. Menu states party of 6 or more. We were five. I would've given 10% considering waiter didn't beyond standard duties. My order (Sopa de la Minuta) was
very good. And I might go there alone to observe how other patrons are treated. But, I just might try another Peruvian restuarant that a friend had recommended but lost the note.
- Pros: Ambience, low key music
- Cons: Attitude, bathroom really tight

NOT AUTHENTIC AT ALL!

NOT AUTHENTIC AT ALL! The food is cheap, and very much overpriced. Peruvian Ceviche is one of the best, and served with "white" corn this is their specialty and here it was served with CANNED corn, and the service matched the food >>> VERY poor, extermely poor. I read the reviews avail. prior to going because I was looking for some good Peruvian cuisine and/or the seafood soup (which was also terrible) it was plain tomato soup with some cheap frozen seafood thrown in there. If they can't get the ceviche right NOT authentic. I am of Peruvian descent, and have had Peruvian cuisine in country and lived in Miami, and I hope to find something close in Chgo?!?!?
- Pros: NOTHING
- Cons: POOR QUALITY FOOD, VERY OVERPRICED, NOT AUTHENTIC

Being of Peruvian decent, the food is just like my mother makes, and that's not easy. The food is authentic, a great change to the limited Latin restaurants in Chicago. If you want to experience true Peruvian cuisine please visit
- Pros: Authentic, Well informed waiters
- Cons: unorganized at times
