Patterns of discrimination still exist the nightclub Crobar put this in full effect this friday. The nightclubs Crobar set quotas for the number of blacks allowed inside and selectively use dress codes to enforce that. My friend that is white was throwing a birthday party at Crobar all his white friends where allow entry but all his blacks friends including I wasnt. We asked why and the bourncer gave each one of us a bogus answer. It was a special model night and as well as us some black model where denied entry, asked bouncer why and told them they were wearing the wrong ear rings.

This is without a doubt the best club on Saturday night. If you like bangin' electo house music then this is the place to be. Mixin Marc is on the decks throwing down every Saturday with Nathan Scott in the Suite. DJs from all over the world come to Crobar to spin when they come to Chicago, like Rogen Sanchez, Erick Morillo, DeadMau5, Robbie Rivera, and more. If you're looking for the best clubbing experience in Chicago this is it.

Crobar is awesome for people who love house music: Fedde Le Grand, David Guetta, Peter Gelderblom, etc. The club has a pretty nice sound/lighting system, although it pales in comparison to the system at Space in Miami. The go-go girls are a nice touch, as they energize the environment. As usual, the drinks are expensive, and it can get pretty crowded. The girls range from 6s to 9s, and the crowd is very Euro (international, whatever), which I personally like but others may not. I've gone only on Saturday; I think the DJs play more mainstream music on Friday. And there is plenty of parking in the area.

Pros: Music, Sound/Lighting System, Atmosphere

Cons: Expensive drinks

Worst club experience ever. Not only do they have prejudiced, arrogant, and pretentious staff, they lack organization skills as well. When booking my bday party here, not only did they fail to send me a confirmation email, they spelled my name wrong so my people at the door were unable to get in free and did not come thru with drinking bracelets and instead gave us bogus tickes that were good for only a 1/2 hour. When my hispanic friends got there, they gave them tickets to drink for Free, and when my black friends got there, not only were they going to charge them for the bracelets but entrance too. When I went to inquire about the confusion, I was told to "stop complaining, go inside and drink.' When I asked for the manager or to get his name, all staff suddenly not only forgot their own name but their bosses too. Do Not Book a Party Here... The last thing I needed was to be treated like I was nothing on my own birthday... I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Pros: Decor

Cons: Everything else, service, staff, organization, drinks (weak), etc.

An all around fun time. 20$ cover isn't that bad, if your not signed up on their e-mail list then it's half price or free with the text that they send to your mobile. So if your in Chicago for a night or you live any where around the city jump in the car, take a cab or do what ever you need to do to go out and have a great nightlife experience.

Pros: people and dancing

Cons: not the greatest for parking

This place is really, really bad starting with the people working at the door: If you like to wait for hours before you will be let in, pay a lot of money than this is the place your choice. I hate this place and will never go again. Chicago has much better places to offer.

I was at Crobar for the cut & paste show a couple of weekends ago. Pretty sure that the trendy design crowd isn't Crobar's usualy clientele but the place was great--the bartenders were fast, the drinks weren't exorbitant (I mean c'mon... this is Chicago, we should be used to 6 dollar beers) and the DJ was bangin. I'll definitely be back for a night of partying with my girlfriends.

Pros: fast service, cute crowd

Cons: parking

watered down drinks, creepy bartenders, power trip bouncers and door guys, theres more people in the VIP then in the club. And on many occasions haven't followed through on their so called "specials" or "deals" or "packages"

Crobar is by far one of the best clubs to visit ever! Be sure to get there before 11PM to by-pass the $20 cover, or you can call ahead to asked to be put on the guest list for free admission. The music is house, trance, techno-infused with hip hop and old school rock. If you like to DANCE in any way shape or form - this is the place. The performances of the dancers on platforms were AMAZING and something to be appreciated...PARTY AT CROBAR!

Pros: beautiful atomosphere, inexpensive drinks, great music

We went on a Saturday. Frist, they couldn't find my name on the guestlist, so we stood there a while before we were asked if we wanted to come in , of course paid $20 each. we were so ready to leave at that point. The inside was not even crowded. My friend and I looked hot, so we felt stupid that they made us stand outside that night in the rain. They played the type of music we likeed, but the DJ kept stopping and we had to stop dancing every 5 minutes. The intervals were too often and too long. terrible!

Pros: music

Cons: line, cover charge, smoke
