I consider a tattoo a very personal experience. Tatu was very nonchalant in their interaction. It was hi, look at the book, come back later. Nobody showed any desire to want to actually perform the service. I left there went to Jade Dragon (per everybody's recommendation), walked in and there was the service I desired. I wouldn't let tatu paint my garage, let alone my body.

Pros: Clean

Cons: Everything else

I came into Chicago from tennessee and thought i would get a tattoo.. I have four already and thought it was time for a new one. So we checked on this website and read the reviews and thought that it sounded like a great place to go. Well we waited 3 and a half hours and still no one was ready to do our tattoos. I thought that was absolutely ridiculuos. Maybe if it was really busy or something it would have made some sense. There was like 6 people there and only one doing a tattoo. Plus one chick was really rude. Needless to say, im a leaving chicago with no tattoo because they told me the wait was 30 minutes and i had to wait that plus three hours. That's all i had to say. Thanks.

I got my first tattoo here by Eric C. I showed him my design and he just polished it up a bit. The tattoo is absolutely perfect. He really makes you feel comfortable and I can honestly say it didn't hurt at all. I wasn't out of the shop more than 2 hours and I was already planning my next tattoo. Great experience and great shop!!

Pros: Friendly, good artists, clean shop and good prices

Love It! I got matching tattoos with my cousin, it didn't hurt nearly as bad as I thought, and they are beautiful. We brought in a couple different pictures, and they looked the same as what we wanted. They made us very comfortable, and it was my cousins first tattoo, she was nervous, but ended up loving it. We chose this over other tattoo places based on online reviews, thought I would follow up since I was so pleased!!! Eric and Su did our tats and though I am sure they are all wonderful, Eric/Su were really wonderful, quick and precise. They were identicle regardless of artist. Prices are very reasonable/cheap. 60 bucks for 4" by 4" on our necks. Eric was hot and a pro. I will be going back for seconds, for sure :) I would call ahead and go in during low traffic times, we waited about an hour because everyone was busy, we are just anxious, but this is pretty par for tattoo jizoints. Parked right in front on a Saturday at 11pm

Pros: good looking artists, quick service once things get rolling, genuine & caring artists, not overpriced

Cons: waiting? the screaming death music in the background, small space

I went into Tatu Tattoo with a general design and the artist, Rebecca, designed exactly what I had in mind but just couldn't desrcibe in words. She was simply phenomenal-- very friendly, inviting, highyly skilled...and let my two girlfriends join as she did the work. The shop, itself, is very client-friendly and I would, without hesitation, tell my friends to go here...again, simply phenomenal!!!

Pros: accommodating hours...fair pricing...highly-skilled artists

My wife and I stopped in to have some work done. The shop is very casual and the staff is very friendly and professional. Great environment. Su Houston and Marci were our artists. Marci worked with my wife and did an excellent job helping her with her design and getting it in place. Su worked with me and was awesome as well. They were receptive to our designs and took the time to make sure they were exactly what we wanted and where we wanted. Their work was outstanding. We will definitely be going back to this shop to see Marci and Su. If you are getting your first tattoo or looking for a shop to do some work. Tatu Tattoo is the place to go.

I just got some new holes put into me by Erika and she is awesome!! She did a sweet job on my earlobes, taking me from no hole to a really big gauge!! I love it and I love her!!

Pros: she's got a very calming room to pierce in

I went to Tatu Tattoo with my boyfriend so he could get a new military tattoo. Sebastian did such a great job on my boyfriends tattoo that I decided to have the small gothic dragon on my back redone. Sebastian traced the tattoo that I had and drew up a much larger, very cool dragon that I am proud to show off. I would recommend Sebastian to anyone wanting body art.

I just went in on a whim, to check stuff out. I had been contemplating getting my nipples pierced for several months. But once I spoke with Erika, I realized she definitely has a great understanding of what she's doing and she's got a great attitude too! I have had too many bad experiences with other piercers being condescending( the Ally, Insight Studios). So, she was like a breath of fresh air! Go get pierced by this lady. She deserves your business.

This was my 4th tattoo, and my first experience at Tattoo Tatu. I'm not covered by tattoos, so at other shops I'm always intimidated by the artists. But at Tattoo Tatu, they treated me like I belonged and worked with me to design a tattoo that is perfect and exactly what I wanted. The color is amazing and the design is seriously perfect. It was more than I could even imagine. The artist (I think Rebecca was her name) was really conversational and they even let my roommate come sit with me for the 2 hour tattoo. The shop was very clean, inviting and friendly. Other artists came by to see how mine was coming and seemed really nice and compliementing. It was a really great experience and i'm already planning my next tattoo.

Pros: Clean, Friendly, Inviting, Professional

Cons: had to wait a while, but it was worth it
