Great Plance Anytime

This is a great place for food, and family. A place you can take the kids feel like you are out for a nice dinner but not out of place. Friendly staff, great food and nice atmosphere.

Food good - Friday Nights excellent - Great bartenders and great drinks....

Awesome place, even better now they fired the "manager" Patrick. You could see the change in atmosphere instantly.

If you need to give it a 2nd try...Friday's are the best, younger crowd ! Then wake up Sat morning and have brunch there... :)

Old Irving Hidden Treasure!!!

I love this place! When the weather is warm there are two patios, a cozy dining room in the winter months and a bar that's always lively. Holidays, especially St. Patricks Day can be crazy so make a reservation for sure. The service is always friendly and they really get to know you. The burgers are great, and the portions on everything are huge!!! A great neighborhood spot for sure! Stop by the bar on a Thurs or a Friday night for a fun evening...the bartenders rock!

Not god-awful, but not very good

Food was so-so at best, pretty average to below-average. No crackers for the chili? What's with that? Overpriced by neighborhood standards: $6 for a grilled cheese sandwich? The service can only be described as indifferent; we had to ask for menus at the beginning, refills in the middle, and the check at the end. But the decor is cutesy-Irishy, I'll give you that. Not god-awful, but not very good. There's better bar food out there.

• Pros: close to my house, fries were good, not too crowded
• Cons: overpriced, no really great taste, no parking

Great food/Terrific Neighborhood environment

We drive in from the suburbs just to enjoy the great environment and terrific food. The McNamara's chicken is the best. The environment is very friendly. The burgers are huge and the steaks are phenonenal. The wood burning grill adds to the great flavor. The service is excellent. If you like potatoes, McNamara's is the place. It has a twice baked potato second to none. McNamara's is a great local restaurant. It is good for families as well as for a nice enjoyable date.

If you like Irish beer, you will be very happy ordering the cold Guinness or Harp on tap.

Let Irish Luck Serve You At McNamaras

THE BEST! EVER! Can not say enough about McNamara's. Brunch is awesome on Sundays, better tasting then Charlie Trotters and same low price as the Golden Nugget. Plus stay for the Bears game and singalong in the bar. Thursday and Sunday nites they have an excellent litte Irish band that will have your toes tapping while you put down the best Tenderloin Meddalions and a Guinness. Clean, fun, warm. Outside in the front in the summer its so nice. Food is excellent, tapper is excellent, ambience is perfect relaxed Irish-American fun, service- the waitress are so nice and helpful. Go here and make it home, you will love it. Me:"Lets go to McNamara's" Girlfriend"MMM, warm bread." Guys: Bears, beer, food.
