Going down hill

I've been going to jade for over 25years & now I wont even step in there to go to the bathroom, I just got a tattoo done there 6weeks ago, I got a guitar on my arm the girl Tish that done It was cool & I wanted to get another one she told me that Gabe can do a real good one for you he likes rock n roll. So check this out I go in there on 7-16-09 @ 10pm (not crowded) the staff just sat there looking @ me eating their pizza & when the floor walker was done with his customers he joind the staff & ate some pizza not one person said nothing to me you talk about bad customer service they know how to do It, I stood there for about 5min so I walked out & will find a new place to sped my money. (TATU TATTOO)

• Pros: NOTHING GOOD 2 SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
• Cons: BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Poor Customer Service

Jade Dragon has horrible customer management. I have gotten over a $1,000 worth the tattoos there over the last couple of years alone with my most recent being a $600 tattoo. I went in to get my tattoo touched up and a woman named Cindy, who said she is part owner, was working and greeted me very rudely. The artist that has done my tattoos is named Tom but has recently moved on to another shop named Chi Town Tattoo. She wanted to charge me 390 dollars to get my tattoo touched up simply because Tom was no longer working at Jade Dragon. She also basically told me if I didn’t like the price then to get out, which I’m glad I did because I found a much better shop in Chi Town Tattoo. Tom immediately apologized for any inconvenience I encountered and offered to do the touch up right away. I would highly recommend Chi Town Tattoo because it has artists like Tom who know how to treat loyal customers and do great work. It looks like Jade Dragon has its best years behind it after the death of long time owner Fat Joe and the loss of several artists. I wouldn’t recommend Jade Dragon to anyone who is looking to be treated with respect due to the fact that they will not treat a profitable customer of several years with any kind of respect.

Horrible!

This place is a nightmare. I walked in with my boyfriend to get a nose piercing and was stared down like a piece of meat by all the employees as I was taken back. I called ahead and was told a nose piercing would be $40 then they tried to charge me $60 (I fought them and they lowered it back to what they originally told me). After the guy pierced me he walked away, even though he saw my nose gushing. When I asked for a paper towel, two of the guys started yelling at me and told me not to "don't get it all over their floor or else you'll clean it up!". Extremely unprofessional. If you're looking for good work, go elsewhere.

This place is great

Went to Jade dragon last week after going to deluxe and being told my design was stupid and being flirted with constantly. So i bring my design in and they bring me back to Fred who was my artists. Fred was great! Very funny down to earth person, he sat down with me for about an hour with my sketch to make sure it was exactly what i wanted. The place was very clean, he opened up everything brand new right in front of me and the tattoo turned out great! I will being seeing Fred again very soon.

• Pros: really good artists very talented
• Cons: A bit pricey but its worth it

Really good artists and more

Went to jade the other day even though there are some bad reviews. All i can say is those reviews ARE WRONG! not only is my tattoo perfect but all the artists there are very nice and professional. My artist was Richie Rich and he was great. I came in with a rough sketch of what i wanted and Richie made it work, also like 4 of the other artists came over to give there input as well. I went on a saturday so it was kinda busy and they had no problem stopping what they were doing to help me out, def no egos here! The price was very reasonable and the art was flawless. They also gave me everything to take care of my tattoo FREE and a FREE t-shirt! I will definetly be seeing Richie and the Jade Dragon crew again.

Tattoo Guru

If you want a tattoo and can't find a credible place to get the services done, Jade Dragon is the place. If you've gotten tattoos before but didnt get your services at Jade, you need to rethink your decisions and definitely come to this venue if you want to get a tattoo or piercing.

Too Bad SO SAD. Get ready for some batin and switchin!!!!!!!!!!

I've been going here for quite some time now, but it seems all my artists and piercers up and left this place. I have to say that this place has changed for the worse since FJ died. I used to hang out in this place and it was fun, some of the guys there were rather cool and definetely fun to be around. Now it is just a bunch of perverted immature guys (owners included) that give overpriced, low quality tattoos and nasty piercings. I would witness the bait and switch on the phone all the time too. They would tell someone on the phone one price and when they came in they would give a completly diff higher price. And to the review below me: you must be talking about FJs fat pig wife, his sister quit working there almost a decade ago. So did other good artists from there, Joy, Katy, Tom, Sam, Gary and more. If you look hard enough, they all still work in the city, just at better shops. I also hear Tony T that awesome piercer just got fired for insubordination too. Wonder who's going to do all the extensive piercings now? That hack Mike? LOL Too bad, so sad.

• Pros: none what so ever, unless you like getting watched by pervs
• Cons: I won't be visitin that great sausage shop across the street

I went to JD about a month ago to get another tattoo, I wanted a small mickey right above my butt , I also noticed the cameras in the room but figured it was the norm. Half way thru the work, being a little agrevated with his hard core flirting this jyrkoff tells me that mickey was going to be a good aiming spot for my boyfriend. I wanted to get up and walk out but let him finish the tattoo. I told FJ's sister what happened and the guy told her I took it the wrong way. Totally unprofessional, imature and adolesent. And $65 dollars for a one inch high mickey .. Steer clear people unless you are an ugly woman or a man. And oh by the way, you may remember me, I was the one who said "F**K YOU YOU FAT B**CH !! after you told me to "lighten up". Your brother is rolling his big butt around in his grave seeing you run his hard work into the ground. A real shame whats happening there. So if you are an attractive girl who likes loser pigs making obscene comments to you, Jade Dragon is your place. And by the way, your still a fat bi*ch and its probably you getting of on the video.

Kidd Rock-DMX-The Rock

I just love how these ppl play out these top star who never heard of jade dragon until they opened a phone book to find 13 pages of advertisment ( not to mention the first 13 listings i.e. A tattoo, AA tattoo, AAA tattoo. phone numbers are all jade dragon) Heres the skinny, and you can find this out for yourself. On the MTV award shows I happened to notice that Kidd Rock's tattoo from jade dragon had been covered up, DMX's tattoo was removed. and the Rock had his redone by covering it up to center the Broma on his arm.

You can see for yourself by comparing what they have now to what they got from jade dragon. and you can do it by looking at jade dragons very own ads. come on... even in all the review on this site, after a 1 star rating is followed by a very brief 5 star rating. If your fooled by what their doing here, then you are exactly what they are looking for.

I hope this helps you in your search for a GOOD tattoo.

P.S. take note of the next review after this one, it will prove my point.

I liked the place, overall they were very nice and delicate when i got my first piercing, it didnt hurt a lot , they told me how to take care of it so it wouldnt get infected; the price was a little high but at least they did a good job {:
