Do not get delivery!!!!!
by ali2980
We ordered delivery-didn't get the chicken strips meal-called the woman was rude & said we didn't order it.We talked to a manager, they resent it out. It was ONLY FRIES - NO CHICKEN. Apparently this is some sort of joke that I don't think is funny. Won't be ordering from there EVER AGAIN!
- Pros: good food usually
- Cons: bad service
Can't get enough of this place

If you're looking for fine Italian dining, this not the place. But, if you are looking for good food (including delivery) at a great price, you must eat here. The various chicken dishes are my favorite. And be sure to try the buffalo strips as an appetizer (some of the best I have ever had anywhere). And, of course, you have to have the red zinger lemonade. However, I do mourn the fact that they got rid of the alfredo's potatoes as a side. Those were a true treat.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Delivery, Excellent Food
This family-friendly Italian restaurant has been keeping Chicagoans happy since 1950.

In Short
Wood booths, checkered tablecloths and an easygoing, laid-back atmosphere make this place the spot for a casual meal before shows at the Vic Theatre down the street. Service is speedy, and brain-teaser cards at each table make the time pass quickly. The menu is extensive, offering everything from burgers and buckets of fried chicken to prime steaks and veggie skewers. Pizzas arrive with a thick flaky crust and flavorful red sauce.
A filling and enjoyable stop

I recently stopped by Leona's Pizzeria, on N. Sheffield, during a X-mas shopping excursion. It was my first time at this Leona's location and I wasn't anything less than pleased. The Italian white bean hummus is amazing, fresh and present beautifully. My best friend had the "kick ass garlic bread," which proved to be a meal within itself. The scene was casual, comfortable, and relaxing. It was by far one of my best dining experiences, for under $20, in the Chicago area.

I'm surprised this unbelievable place for some of the finest pie in town isn't even mentioned! With items like "Kick-ass Garlic Bread" on the menu, you can't lose. Just don't forget to bring your appetite. They've got generous servings that I've never been able to finish, but I don't mind the leftovers. No one will be dissapointed.
- Pros: Large portions, Resonably priced, Friendly staff
- Cons: Parking
Will go again

Leona's menu is HUGE, which can be intimidating -- but everything was tasty enough, so I will undoubtedly eat there again when I am in the mood for affordable, mainstream Italian food. I had the fortune of sitting out front on a recent lovely evening; not everyone would find it ideal to dine amidst the bustle of this neighborhood, but the people-watching is good and the location is very convenient. Our server was very good.
Love it!

Huge portions of great food. What's wrong with that? The chicken sandwiches are amazing...I recommend the Cobb Chicken Sandwich. It'll blow you away.
Good service, not great. But the ambiance and grub makes this a perfect place for a reliable good bite alone or with a group. There's always plent of space, so you're not scrunched like most city joints.
Try it.
