Great Place. Great place for Thai, dine in, take out, delivery, always delicious. Pleasantly surprised to find they have a brunch on Sundays, great way to try the menu out. Highly recommend anything with their peanut sauce or green curry.

Best Thai Food in Chicago. Thai Classic is by far the best place to go for Thai food in Chicago. I have been to dozens of Thai restaruants throughout the Chicagoland area and beyond and have not tasted a better Pad Thai then here at Thai Classic. The other dishes stack up just as well including the Pad See Ew, drunken nooodles and others. The place is fairly priced and the ambience, though nothing spectacular, is certainly clean, nice and relaxing. The buffet on the weekend is also very good and fairly priced as long as you understand that you are not going into the Old Country Buffet. In other words, the options are adequate but not endless. The people are very nice and the service is attentive. I have been eating here for the past eight years and highly recommend it.

Good food, Good service, BYOB. We had a big group of people last week. I have never been to this place before. Me and all my friends really enjoyed it . Good food ,good service. All the staffs are so friendly. They got pretty big menu, And you should try "Jungle curry dish" and "Salmon panang curry dish", they are nice spicy and pretty tasty. The food ranges from mild to very hot. Prices are very resonable. I am definitely going back.

Offensive. Ironically, a few hours ago I would have recommended this place. My good friend , my children, and I had been thinking about it all day. We were met at the door with these words from the waitstaff: "Are you going to clean up after your children. Sometimes they make the table messy". This was said as if it were a condition as to whether or not we would be seated. No hello, good evening, how many? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought it was the job of the waitstaff to clean up the table. I have a different profession. We were highly offended. My three children are incredibly intelligent , and accostumed to dining out- they suggested Radhuni a little further up the street. It was awesome. They didn't mind wiping the table behind us. I also like Al Andalous on the same street.

Very Good Thai Food, served in elegant surroundings, at reasonable prices; and, BYO.. Despite obvious competition in choice of Thai eateries, this one definately rates a 'cut above' most. Ambience is quiet and elegant, and includes some sit on cushion floor seating. Food was excellent and prices reasonable. Pad Thai with Tofu, chicken pad prik King, and Beef in Red Curry are all recommended. It's also BYO.

Good food, bad service. When my girlfriend and I went there, it was early evening on a Sunday; the place was maybe half full. We were never sure who our waiter was because a different person seated us, brought menus, filled our water, took our order, brought our food... then we couldn't get anyone to come back. We had asked for some chili paste when our Pad Thai came out, which was brought out quickly, but then we never saw anyone at our table again. Not to refill water, not to ask how things were, nothing. We had to go ask for more water, even then we got A refill. No one even came to take plates away after they had been sitting there 15 minutes. But the group sitting at the low-table up on the pillowed section right behind us, the waiter was there, constantly bringing and taking plates... and practically feeding them while he was there.

We finally had to go ask one of the three people standing back by the register to come clear our plates and bag up the leftovers. And did anyone bring that back out? No. We had to go ask. The food was fine, even well above average, but the service was abysmal. Maybe an OK place for carry-out or delivery, or maybe if you have a group and can get the prime "you actually get waited on" seats... but I don't think I'd dine in there again.

Good price for buffet but the food isn't that good. I'm Thai and I know so well what tasty Thai foods are really like. I went there with another friend for lunch buffet. There were not many selections. The Tom-yum soup was terrible, far from Authentic Thai food. There were not that many meat in any dishes. The satay was alright. However, the other fried appertizers were no longer crispy (we were there early too). I would not recommend this place to anyone or go there again unless I'm really hungry. If you are looking for great value meal, but not authentic Thai food, maybe try the weekend buffet. We also drove around for more than 15 minutes for parking spot.

Mood lighting, fresh Thai dishes and a popular weekend buffet are the benchmarks of this Lakeview favorite.. The menu at this neighborhood mainstay highlights classic Thai specialties like spring rolls, satay, curries, fried rice and noodle dishes, as well as a few showier chef's specialties, like red curry salmon and "Orchid" chicken, served in a halved pineapple. House-made coconut ice cream is the dessert favorite. A small dining area in front has a few sunken tables surrounded by colorful pillows, plus a handful of regular tables; a narrow hallway gives way to a second, larger dining room in back. Soft lighting sets a romantic tone, but this spot is also popular with groups.

superb Sunday brunch!!. Went with a big group to the Sunday brunch. It's amazing what quality and diversity you get for hardly any money!
