Top 10 in Chicagoland pizzerias

I always considered Nancy's among the best Chicago pizzerias out there. I would ride my motorcycle all the way from the southside some nights just to have one. Great sauce and crust make it all worthwhile. Unfortunately I live in Atlanta now, but I make sure to grab one whenever I go home to Chitown. They have one here but it's not quite the same or as good.

Best in Chicago

Best Chicago style pizza in Chicago. I?ve tried them all, this is it. Really. Don?t believe me? Go and try it. It?s a tiny place and the staff is friendly. I don?t think anyone realizes how over rated Ginos, Lou Malnati?s, Pizzeria Uno, Giordano?s and all those other big names have gotten. They?re too popular and I think the quality of their pie has suffered. Nancy?s is the best.

This longtime Lincoln Park favorite has a small, simply decorated dining room. The classic Italian menu includes popular starters like antipasto salad and sauteed calamari in marinara sauce. Thin, stuffed and pan pizzas are full of quality ingredients, cheese and topped with a spiced tomato sauce. Be ready to wait, though, as stuffed pies can take up to an hour to cook.

Best neighborhood pizza

Nancy's is a cozy neighborhood place with consistently great made-from-scratch food. The stuffed pizza is the best pizza I have had. The Chicken Tetrazini is amazing and addictive. The Lasagna is great. For those carb-watchers, get the Chicken Vesuvio or the New York Steak. Start your dinner with the wonderful Antipasto salad (share!) and you will have to roll out the door. Great for last-minute groups of 10 or so. The front doesn't look like much, but this is well worth a visit!

The King of Stuffed Pizza

The pizza has good quantity of toppings. It is one of the few stuffed pizzas that doesn't get soggy after a it is made!! It has alot of cheese and the toppings are very fresh!! I highly recommend the stuffed pizza from Nancy!!

• Cons: servers were slow, no thanks for pizza, time for pizza long

There are many reasons I miss Chicago, but the one thing that is brought up by more people in Arizona about Chicago is the Pizza. I miss Nancy's Pizza and remember my first experience with Stuffed Pizza. It was wondeful mmmmmmmmm. I have a hard time picking the best Pizza place now because the so called pizza places here that claim the name Chicago pizza are not the same. But Nancy' I'll never forget. "Thanks for the memories"
