Soooo good!!!

We just ate there yesterday and our brains began hemorrhaging when we saw how much food we had to choose from! We ended up getting the nachos with black beans, vegan cheeze and veggie chorizo. They were some of the best nachos I've ever had!
My wife got the American sliders (three different burgers) and loved it. I got the Dagwood and OMG!! So amazing.
The only thing that could have been improved was the service. I think our server was the only one serving tables though there was a host and another worker helping out (minimally). And we had two little kids, so waiting a long time isn't allows a good thing. He also forgot to bring us a few things.
Anyways, it was SO worth it. I can't wait to go back. Maybe this weekend for Father's Day!
- Pros: Totally amazing menu. Too much to choose from.
- Cons: Service was kinda slow (1 server)

This place is amazing. Their food is so good. You can get your food just how you like it. No matter if you want veggie, vegan, or what...you will get it. I ordered the all vegetarian and vegan sweet potato quesadilla and it was amazing. Then for dessert we all shared a vegan peanut butter shake and that was amazing. This is a must have place. The prices are great too. Fun atmosphere!
- Pros: Food, atmosphere, staff are all great!!!
- Cons: NOTHING. Must try this place

This is a great place to dine for casual vegan/vegetarian food. The have some fantastic organic red wines which go well with any one of their deserts. The evening gets a little busy especially on the weekends and you can expect a 10-15 minute wait for a table but once you sit down it's all worth it. Best vegan cheesecake ever!
- Pros: Desserts, Wine, Good Location, Parking
- Cons: Busy, Crowded Seating

I went on a Saturday night for take out. I got the gyro entree and the much talked about green machine salad. The gyro was quite tasty. A lot better than the gyro I had at Soul Vegetarian East. It came with some old and tasteless spanish rice and a pickle ( I know, right ?)The green machine salad however was totally disappointing. From the thick unappealing dairy cheese to the watery vinegar dressing, I definitely should have passed this entree up. I would not have even known it was a cilantro dressing except for the fact it had a green tint. So will I go again? Perhaps. But next time I'll definitely make sure the Halsted Street festival is not going on!
The meal came to about 19 bucks. I recommend any veggie to try this place out at least once.

This place is all about the Vegetarian if you are looking for something different. I am not a Vegetarian but I really enjoyed the food. The potato soup is awesome. The place is cramped but the food makes it worth while. Service was good and prices were OK.

I've eaten at this restaurant so many times, and it never disappoints. The service is usually great, and the menu offers a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan adaptations of favorite comfort foods. The vegan milkshakes (especially the peanut butter-chocolate chip cookie dough, mmm) are simply heavenly, and the mocha-raspberry cheesecake is incredible: pefect texture, great balance of flavors, even nice to look at.
I recommend the brunch options, especially the tempeh-potato hash with biscuits and gravy. The food was so good I ate too much. The plate was huge! I just can't say enough good things about this place, and I would recommend it to any vegetarian or meat-eater.
- Pros: Generous portions, amazing vegan milkshakes, incredible cheesecake, vegan desserts

After reading the reviews I had to try it. I now own the cookbook they sell. Wish I had the cook too!!! Yes, it is a bit small and crowded. I am glad, otherwise I would have to wait too long to get in and do what I want to do most....EAT EVERTHING ON THE MENU!!! If we could have more Chicago Diners everywhere I would be so happy!
- Pros: Food is fantastic!
- Cons: Parking can be an issue. It is a bit cozy.

I decided to go to Chicag Diner with some good friends. I've lived in the neighborhood for years, had passed it many times. We ordered the vegetable potstickers as an appetizer and they were great. My friends' entrees arrived and I was told my entree would be right out. I waited - thankful for the potstickers - my friends had finished their meals when mine finally arrived. No overt apologies, no comp of anything on the check, nothing. Not going back.

During a quick trip through Chicago I stopped here. The food was very good and there was a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options. Unfortunately we had some problems with our food, which I'm sure was a rareity, but the service was great and due to the problem with our meal we recieved a complimentary dessert of raw apple pie which was delicious. I would highly recommend visiting this spot if you're in the mood for healthy vegetarian cuisine and fun atmosphere.
