NOT Kid Friendly
by NeighborhoodMom at Citysearch
We have been going to Pat's every Friday night since our son was 9 months old. He is almost 2 now. We have loved this place but have to post a negative review due to our experience last night. We had grandma and uncles in for a celebration dinner and we went to Pat's because the pizza is usually good and we thought it was child friendly. We arrived a little later than usual - 6 pm - but still managed to get through our meal quickly. Any parent with a 2 year old knows you don't linger over a late dinner. It was about 7:15 and we were almost done with our meal. We were waiting for our coffee and dessert when the owner came to our table and said she had received complaints about our child and could we please leave! That's right - the owner kicked out our party of 6 that was about to leave anyway and blamed it on the child. So not only did they kick us out but they insulted our child in the process. This place is casual, it was only 7:15 in the evening and our child is a normal 2 year old. Yes, he was screaming now and then. So was another child in the restaurant. In fact, 75% of the tables had children at them. And we weren't those kinds of parents that were letting our child misbehave. He is 2. We can't muzzle him. We were doing our best. We had gone to dinner at an early hour, we didn't linger over our meal and we have been regulars at this place for some time. So this is a warning to families: if your children are not in complete control all the time - and whose are - DON"T GO HERE. There are plenty of good pizza places within blocks of this place. Why give your business to a place that would do something like this? Go down the street to Malnati's or Gino's East.
- Pros: Nice waitstaff
- Cons: Kicked us out because of our 2 year old
Delicious, fast, and great for kids
by UrbanMom2 at Citysearch
We come here all the time with our son (now 19 months). The staff is fast, polite, and low-key. They are very kid-friendly (highchairs, crayons and paper, covered water cups with straws), and there is rarely a wait (especially if you go early, like 5:30pm). Pizza is delicious and the restaurant isn't too noisy.
OK service, but sub-par thin crust pizza
by orchidsky at Citysearch
I ordered a thin crust two-topping pizza for delivery. The pizza was delivered promptly, in just over 30 minutes. Unfortunately, although the pizza was still hot and looked good, it really didn?t taste very good. The sauce was very bland. There was also so much sauce that it made the thin crust moist. The toppings were very good and the cheese was average. Overall the pizza was bland (maybe due to lack of seasoning) and flimsy. I have lived a four large cities and this was not a good thin crust pizza. I?m fairly certain it was not the best in Chicago. I hate to say this, but Domino?s thin crust is better. Good service + lots of bland sauce + little seasoning = average pizza. Maybe the restaurant experience makes the pizza seem better, but don't place your order expecting top notch thin crust pizza.
Call ahead

Best thin crust pizza in town and great food overall. However the hours of operation on this site are all wrong. They are not open for lunch. Call ahead before you go to insure they are open.
Best Pizza Ever
by jakes_chicago at Citysearch
The thin-crust is paper thin, making it crispy to the max. I love this pizza, nothing compares and believe me I've tried other places. I have had out of town guests come to visit, my girlfriend and I take them here and time after time visit after visit they request to go back. I've even had one friend ask if I could go buy a pizza from Pats that wasn't cooked, freeze it and send it to them in another state. Definately go here with friends, this place is not to be kept a secret. Something so good should be shared.
Small dining room, not ideal for large groups
by gravesd at Citysearch
The food and cozy restaurant were a pleasant treat. The waitress was verbally frustrated with the size of our group, (5 tables, 23 people) though we insisted we were quite pateint and understanding that she was the only waitress working. She insisted that a reservation was necessary and we were "lucky" they let us stay. After we got passed that, she was actually quite efficient and friendly. No question, the food was worth the initial obstacles.
- Pros: ambience, food
- Cons: parking
GREAT CHICAGO THIN CRUST
by jlh67 at Citysearch
This is probably the best thin crust in Chicago as far as typical pizza goes. Delivery is always hot and timely. Of course there are more authenic Italian style pizza joints now but this is a great choice for home delivery.
- Pros: Great Thin Crust
Great Pizza. A home town tradition

YUM YUM YUM...anyone that doesn't love this pizza should be examined. This Chicago tradition is the lifeblood of Lincoln Park. Great after a long night out, or to prepare for a longer night out!
- Pros: Crust, Cheese, Sauce
- Cons: None
THE ABSOLUTE BEST THIN CRUST!
by dionne505 at Citysearch
The appetizers are great, bruschetta especially, big chunks of seasoned tomato atop crunchy bread.so GOOD. My boyfriend and I found this place while typing thin crust in Chicago. Let me tell you we got VERY lucky in finding Pats. The crust is paper thin yet has the best crunch, the sauce is awesome and toppings are fresh, they arent cheap with them. Best thin crust Ive ever had, they defiantly have new regulars with us. Nice atmosphere as well.
- Pros: PIZZA IS AMAZING, STAFF IS GREAT
- Cons: you gotta get lucky to find a spot on the street but believe me its worth it!
