The original customized tee joint
by shopgirl16
Looking for retro Rocky collector cards? Come here, even the store mascot, the owner's dog, is named Rocky. Get a tee customized here with whatever you want. My favorite place to come to get, "It's My Birthday, Buy Me a Drink" tees for my friends. Print up whatever though, your favorite lyric, your friend's funniest nickname, or a simple statement

Blast back to the past with vintage clothing and accessories from the '70s and '80s.
by Contributor
The Scene
Two brothers travel the country buying from the past to meet the shopping needs of the present 12- to 25-year-old set. Racks and shelves of vintage (and some new) clothing, shoes, accessories and trinkets contribute to a dizzyingly colorful display. Four roomy dressing rooms provide the perfect place to play dress-up in funky fashions you might not feel comfortable wearing in public.
The Goods
This quirky store is primarily known for vintage clothing and retro knickknacks, like postcards and never-opened trading cards from the '70s and '80s. Remember those iron-on T-shirt decals? Get them here and adorn the shirt of your choice. Pick out wacky colored wigs for costumes or to stand out in a crowd. You'll also find vintage and new clothing including dresses, overalls, a huge assortment of used Levis, leather jackets, Pea coats and Dickey's bags. New shoes include brands like Puma, adidas and Dr. Scholl's, and old Air Jordans are popular.
Vintage - Quirky and Cool.

The merchandise makes my parents reminiscent and me laugh. I love all the oddities and intrictaes, such ciggarette cases from the 60's and 70's, jewelry, hats, accessories, all kinds. Iron-on tee shirts are a lot of fun too.
- Pros: cheap, cute, chic
- Cons: parking, too small
Modern & Vintage Panache

I've been shopping at Strange Cargo for years. The store's offbeat charm will make you a repeat customer. Elvis Coffee Mugs, Hula Girls, Retro Clothes, Posters, you name it. All located about a 5 minute walk south from Wrigley Field.
The iron-on T-shirt service is a stroke of brilliance. Choose a shirt and an iron-on design from their great selection, or design your own iron-on and they do the rest.
Definitely a shop worth checking out in the city.
