Best Thai food I have had in Chicago
by JustinPhillips
My friend and I were deciding what to have for dinner last night and thought we would try a little Thai place blocks from our house. We went in to Thai Spice and had really good customer service from the moment we walked in. There was no one there but us, but I think it is because many people order take out. We ordered Lard Nar and Hot Jungle Curry (I think it was called that). The Lard Nar and Curry were the best I have ever had. The couple that run the place know what they are doing. This is now my favorite Thai place! They even made the food vegan especially for me.
- Pros: Truly Thai food.
- Cons: None
Best Thai Food in Chicago!
by jeffreywkim
The cook is a true artist. Lardnar noodles are fried and crisped at the ends. Very few Thai Restaurants know how to do that. Truly everything on the menu is very tasty. Most Thai restaurants are just average at best
- Pros: Everything is absolutely delicious!
- Cons: Nothing
Ya Really Good

Okay so I been eating here off/on for a few years. Really good food (esp. the Buddha Roll). Ya its a little pricey but if you want a good meal out give it whirl.
Best Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai around!!!!
by osheldon
Delicious....and the owner is super friendly. As the editorial review states, a tad pricey. But very generous portions, and fresh ingredients..relatively speaking.
- Pros: The food, food, and food. Oh yeah. And the owner.
- Cons: Ambience.....
Great Curry

Wonderful place. I have gone on two consecutive dates here over the past two weeks. (we're just dating...not boyfriend/girlfriend)
But we LOVE the Karee Curry. It is amazing. We had sushi for the first time tonight. Delicious, but a little bit pricy. The service is wonderful, They are helpful and friendly. I would go there every Thursday if I could he would take me!
best pad thai

Thai Spice is a great place to go. The owner Tony is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. The food is amazing. I have had a lot of Thai in my life but his Pad Thai is by far the best. Don't miss this amazing place.
- Pros: best Pad Thai
- Cons: none
Best Thai Food! To die for!
by littlebearjan
Thai Spice offers food that is absolutely delicious! Unlike most Thai Restaurants that boil their noodles, this restaurant fries them like it is supposed to be and browns the edges of them. The food is absolutely consistent unlike others that can very from one visit to the next.
- Pros: delicious food
- Cons: expensive
This modest storefront lures a local Edgewater crowd with friendly service and low-key ambience.

In Short
Decor is sparse, with salmon-colored walls adorned with Asian hangings, an unfinished wood ceiling and lighting that's just a bit too bright. Thai Spice justifies slightly higher prices with sheer quantity (entrees can easily feed two) and fresh-made taste. Crispy, creamy crab puffs are among the starters, served with vinegary-sweet sauce. Pad thai is bountiful with sprouts, peanuts and onion. Like spicy? Panang beef is sauteed in red curry sauce and served with sliced jalapenos.
Thai on Devon

Devon Ave might be known for its Indian food, but this Thai restaurant, open for more than a decade, is worth a try. It is some of the best Thai food for the price and with huge portions.
- Pros: Easy parking, Carryout
Hidden gem in Rogers Park

Great food, nice setting, good service and the price is right. I highly recommend trying the Pud Thai and/or the Kang Green Chicken Curry.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Good parking, Great food
