Good food, great margaritas, awesome service, reasonable prices. What more could you ask for from a restaurant?

Mayan Palace is an all-around great experience from the time you walk in the the door to the time you leave. The service is quick and very personal. Mayan Palace does not have the waiters that pretend they don't understand what you're saying when something goes wrong, they correct the problem and apologize. I have heard people say Mayan Palace is overpriced, and it is more expensive than some of the surrounding mexican places. However, it is well worth the money. Personally I feel Mayan Palace puts Cesars to shame. There are less neon signs at MP, but that doesn't mean it is not vastly better. The pinnacle of my experience was the waiter shaking my hand when I left...highly recommend!

Pros: Awesome service, great tasting food and drinks

Cons: Expensive, but worth the money!

It seems like there are an abundance of Mexican restaurants in my neighborhood. We had been to Caesar's (self-proclaimed "Home of the Killer Margarita")... but a friend recommended we come here instead. Don't get me wrong, Caesar's margaritas are really good, but Mayan Palace's are just as good... Not to mention that, but they're half price on Tues/Thurs. Also, the food is way better than Caesar's, and probably one of the best Mexican places I've tried in Chicago thus far. Try the Ceviche appetizer or Chicken Fajitas. Everything always tastes fresh, and the staff is really nice. I could eat their chips and salsa all night long, and the way they keep bringing you more, they'd probably let me! The ambience is better, too (more hip restaurant, and less "bar-scene"). The restaurant space is cute but a bit crowded, so when it's nice out, try the covered back patio!

Pros: Food, service, margaritas!!

Cons: Make reservations on Fri/Sat eves

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mayan Palace. My boyfriend and I make a point of eating there every weekend. The food is delicious authentic Mexican and the service is amazing! (we come in so often they already know what we're going to order and how we like it) They make you feel like royalty and fall all over themselves making sure you have everything you need. In the summer they have a large patio but in the cooler months there's not a ton of seating indoors. Tuesdays and Thursdays are half price margarita nights and it's totally worth fighting the crowds. It's cheap and yummy...you have to try Mayan Palace!

Pros: The service and the food.

Cons: little seating

I want to share my experience I had at the Mayan Palace with the rest of the world. I loved the margaritas.. the house marg. where are the best i have ever had. Its small true, but the service and food make up for it. oh yeah the bartenders are really good. its just two of them, but they get the job done. I heard a rumor that the patio might get covered so that means additional seating all year round. They have half price house marg. tuesdays and thursdays which include pitchers. Omg u have to go there. If u go ask for alex he is the best waiter they've got.

Pros: Great quality in food and drinks

Cons: n/a

This little gem is a perfect place to spend the night with friends. The food is very good and the margaritas are incredible. I would recommend going on Tuesdays and Thursdays since all of the house margaritas are only $3.25. Also, the service is excellent and everyone is exceptionally nice. If you haven't been here yet, you need to schedule it in your near future.

So far, so good on this little place (or should I say "palace"?). My girlfriend and I have only been there a couple times, and then only gotten veggie burritos and house margaritas, but that's really all we were looking for. The burritos are big and full of stuff, not just rice, beans, and lettuce. The margaritas were nothing exceptional, but are still good and still do the trick. A small pitcher got us both a nice little buzz. Chips, again, are not exceptional, but they're warm and crisp and kept full. Service is very nice and quick, too. I'm looking forward to checking out more of the menu, as well as their patio next summer...

Pros: Great service, good value

Cons: Can be a little loud

I love the Mayan palace, just that simple. They have the best margaritas, with some really unique flavors. I am generally not a frozen margarita person, but I can't theirs served any other way. I would suggest trying the Jamaica Flower flavor....it is reallygood! Don't forget about the food...it is good, too! Their salsa is spicy hot and their burritos are big and fresh! They have really improved their outdoor area, which is a great addition to the restaurant.

Pros: great food and margaritas; nice outdoor area; affo

Cons: restaurant is small in size
