Trendy on a Tight Budget

H&M always has the latest trends and with this three story Michigan Ave. store, there are plenty of trendy clothes to get your hands on. The atmosphere of the store may be bustling, but I've found the selection to be better than others in the city.

cheap trendy clothes, weekends are insane!

H&M is good for cheap, interesting clothes. The quality isn't amazing - you won't find any impeccably cut cashmere here, however it's great for whatever is so trendy that you just realized you had to have it five minutes ago. Which is why I keep attempting go back, despite the fact that the weekend is an absolute MOB scene - I'm usually overwhelmed by what appears to be a mass exodus of teenage groupies from some angst-ridden-but -my-mom-still-has-to-drive- me-home event. So go, but avoid it on the weekends, unless you enjoy feeling like you got stuck in a fifteen year old's birthday shopping trip with 200 of her closest friends.

• Pros: inexpensive trendy clothes
• Cons: zillions of people, non-existent service, quality is about what you'd expect for cheap clothes

Cheap but Hectic!

The location is great and exciting, but on a weekend the atmosphere is out of control. It's usually packed with tweens, and beware of long lines for the dressing rooms. The prices are great, though, and while quality may not be the best, you can definitely find some layering pieces. The accessories are awesome! But the store is packed with clothes, so if you don't like picking through piles and racks, you may not like this!
