The best Service at a great price

Hi everyone, if you are like me and you wear your hair short, this salon is for YOU! For years I went to a stylist who ended up moving to another town and I had to find someone who can cut short hair. I had no idea how hard it was to find a good stylist that can cut short hair. I found Tonya, through my sister at Marietta's Day Spa. I can not believe this woman, she is awesome every time I get my hair cut I am satisfied, Tonya told me once I get to know you I can cut your hair to your personality and she has fulfilled her promise. Every time I get my hair cut people always comment where did you get that cut? Well I am here to tell you that you will be very happy not only with the hair cut but with the price as well. Please go see Tonya and tell her that Connie sent you. My sister gets her hair colored by Tonya and I have to say it looks natural and lasts a long time, my sister has been going to Tonya for at least five years and she also goes to Marietta’s for other services as well to relax and rejuvenate. I will write a review on the rest of the services from Waxing, massage and pedicure/manicures.

THIS IS THE PLACE! BEST MASSAGE IN YEARS AND --my feet are still smooth from the pedicure!

Out of towners and last minute-- we were checking into massages, facials and pedicures. Everything started at $175--out of our budget as we were shopping like mad! This place doesn't have all the frills of some of chicago's high end spas BUT IT HAS THE SERVICE! They got us in the day we called. Got a great pedicure with salt rub down and my feet are still smooth. Manicure was just as good. Very detailed and no chipping!! My friend got a facial that made her glow! My massage was the best part. Having had them at national chains as AVEDA--this was by far the best one --These ladies were fantastic! If you want the best for less this is your place--and I can't wait to go back!! Tell them Moe sent you!

Hidden Gem...go see Josie and have your hair done!

I just had my first experience at Marietta's yesterday. This is a comfortable and clean spa with the best Hair Dresser I have ever had! It is a wonderful change to go to a relaxed and simple spa in the heart of the GoldCoast. I would recommend this place to everyone. The prices are very good and the people are kind and accommodating. It has all of the amenities that you would expect from a downtown location but without the attitude.

Fantastic service!

I have been going to Marietta's Day Spa and Salon for the past five years, and I have been very happy with their service. They ALWAYS do a good job, unlike some of the other salons that do your nails too fast and consequently do a sloppy job. Marietta and her staff always are very attentive and meticulous and do a very good job because they care about what they do. Every time I have gone, I have been satisfied with their work--and I go a lot!!

Best All Service Salon in Chicago

I have been to many salons in Chicago and suburbs. I had always used a different salon for each service. I can honestly say since I have been going to Marietta's, all services can be excellently done all in one place Marietta's Day Spa and Salon. Her staff is outstanding. The massages are truely the best in the city. My nails were weak and split when I started, due to poor manicures elsewhere. I now have strong perfect nails. The pedicures are so relaxing with the vibrating chair and great current magazines.

I often get stopped on the street and asked "who cuts your hair? It looks great." I highly reccommend Marietta's for any salon service.

Very Fast

I read over the citysearch reviews on Marietta's Day Spa & Salon. Based on those reviews, I decided to give it a try. I went in for a Brazilian wax, at $40, the price is right. I was used to paying upwards of $60 at the other places I tried. One thing I can say, they mean business when you get there! It was quick, albeit, a little painful, but done literally in 5 minutes! It was also done well. So, if you want to get in and get out with very little fuss, I highly recommend Marietta's.

The best for your buck

I've been to Marietta's salon on many occasions, and have had treatments ranging from microdermabrasion to manicures. Marietta and her staff are all extremely knowledgable and capable - the results of all of my treatments have always been superb. Many times Marietta herself performs the services. Occasionally there is pressure to add to the treatment and I have been kept waiting on more than one occasion. On the plus side, they almost always accommodate walk-ins and the price for the quality of service cannot be matched. If you're looking exclusively for pampering - this may not be the place. If you want quality results and a relaxed experience at an affordable price Marietta's is the place.

Great waxing, very reasonable

I went in for a Brazilian bikini wax, because the price looked reasonable - $35 and up. My first time, Marietta did the waxing herself. The results were fantastic! She charged me $40. My second time, another woman who worked there did my wax. The results were also fantastic. She charged me $35. I have to warn, though... both times, the waxing didn't take much more than 10 minutes. They do large sections at once, and it hurts. But, it's over quickly. The salon isn't particularly calming or soothing, it's strictly business. You walk into the waxing room with whomever is doing your wax, strip down in front of them, and they get to work quickly. It's definitely worth the money, and the results are great, but if you want a relaxing spa experience, this isn't it!
