My daughter has been attending Imperial Dance - now called the Academy of Indiana Ballet Theatre, for years and, unlike dance studios, there is a professional edge at IBT that other dance studios cannot provide. Mrs Tuhoy is a very special person and has is very patience with the little ones. The New Ballet Master, Mr Eckhard is a professional, disciplined, dance instructor, he has taken the company to the next level. The two shows put on at the Star Plaza every year, Nutcracker and the Spring Ballet, are a wonderful opportunity for the students to mix with professional dancers. The ballets are usually accompanied by the La Porte Symphony or Northwest Indiana Symphony. Thank you Mrs Tuhoy and Mr Eckhard and all the other dedicated teachers. Mrs P. Johnson

Anyone writing about this ballet company and talking about classes and what their child did or did not learn cannot be reviewing a ballet company. This company puts on professional ballets, usually with a live symphony at a professional performance center with featured guest artisits who are well-known in the ballet world.. Everything about this company is professional, down to the costumes, scenery and pops. This company allows children as young as 6 to audition and take part of their ballets as a community outreach, and the ballet performances are well attended, not only in the evenings but by hundreds of school groups that attend in the morning.

Pros: professional, great parking, great performances

This evening French Confection Evening was wonderful. The food was good, show was good, the dancers must have had lots of practice to get to shuch a high standard. The speakers had a little trouble with the microphone but overall we had a really nice evening.
