We entered the restaurant with 2 famalies, we had 10 people in total. The greeter told us that it was a 20 minute wait, so we walked through the downtown area then came back. They told us again it was another 20 minutes wait and they were terribly busy. So I walked around the restaurant and at least 25% of the tables were open, I told the server that we would like to push 2 tables together, and again they told us to wait another 20 minutes. We waited another 20 minutes, and asked again. They told us they needed another 20 minutes, and the restaurant was not that busy!! What is up with these people, do they not know they own a restaurant and make their money by serving food to people? So I asked for take out and ordered my food to go. The food only took about 10 minutes to make and we were on our way finally. The person at the take out counter said the waitresses and greeters were angry and lashing it out on the customers because their boss did not give them a good review the day before.....well, don't make that our problem next time!! I will never go here again, even though the food was decent.

Pros: Take Out food is OK.

Cons: Rude people, they lied to us. Would not serve us. Lazy servers that discriminate!!!

I really like the pizza when we add provolone cheese to it. The meat pizza we had had too many types of meat and was distracting in flavor-- but the provolone cheese with portabello mushrooms pizza was awesome!! We've had that twice. We've also had their calzones and my husbands was tolerable-- but mine with total mush-- raw dough--- I couldn't tolerate that-- so that sucked. the service the first time we went was fine, but the other times we've been it hasn't been the best- very inattentive. We consider going sometimes-- but only for the tried and true pizza, portabello with provolone pizza--

Pros: decent pizza

Cons: service, calzone dough was too undercooked

I have eaten at the Franklin Mellow Mushroom several times and never had an experience such as the one the previous poster described. Yes, sometimes they are busy and you do have to wait to be seated, but I have never had them be rude to me or my family. The food is excellent and they have a great variety of tasty brews. I eat here once a week and would recommend it to anyone.

I actually cannot comment on how the food is at this restaurant because my family and I have left without being seated.....TWICE!!! The first time we left, we stood there for 15 minutes with our two young children waiting for someone to take our name or seat us. During this time several employees walked by looked at us, did not acknowlege our presence, or offer to help us. So we left in disbelief that the service at this new restaurant was so poor. We decided to give it another chance thinking that night might have been just a fluke. We did get our name on the list today, however the girl was rude about it. We soon found out it wasn't just us, she was rude to everyone who came after us, and actually while we were still standing there we watched a couple walk out that had been waiting longer than us, and a group of FIVE people walked out after the employees were rude about adjusting a table to better accomodate some elderly people with their party. So in total 11 people, including us, walked out of this restaurant in the 25 minutes we stood there, after "rude hostess" told us it would be a ten minute wait. Shame on us for returning to a place that didn't make a good first impression to begin with. After talking to several other people, all have said the same thing...the service there is terrible. That is a reputation that will eventually outweigh good pizza, it's simply a matter of time.

I love their pizza! They have so many selections with great prices. This is a great place for the family or for large groups. They also have a bar which is a plus!

This is my favorite place to go. They have a HUGE selection of beer and liquor. They also have the best pizza around! They're hoagies are great & there are a lot of vegetarian selections. The people who work there are really nice & they know us by name. Don't forget NTN trivia!! Love it.

Pros: nice people, great atmosphere, not too expensive
