Nice large soul food restaurant for casual dining

I recommend that you check out BJ's Market on 79th and Racine. I really love the smoked chicken here. they have some very good food and the place is clean. Also I have to add that the staff were very courteous as well. The dining area is large enough to hold 100 people.

However, the yams taste like something out of a can. It isn't the best soul food, but it is healthier than eating at a fast food restaurant.

• Pros: Dining space; free refills on soda; off-street parking; deli style dining
• Cons: some of the food tastes like it came out of a can; deli style dining

Pretty Good "Fast Food Soul".

I went on a Sunday to Bj's out of a recommendation from a co worker. It was not bad. They had a great selection and the banana pudding was excellent. Stil had enough to take home. I would definately say this is a hidden gem. Try it....

• Pros: A little bit different "fast foodish:" experience.
• Cons: Not too many.
