It is very diffcult locating a professional massage therapist with the knowledge of sports injuries and treating tendon & muscle ache. Especially if you are a male athlete, seeking a licensed male therapist on the northside that is professional & non-sexual. I did a search on City Search and saw ENERGIZE and decided to click on Anthony website. Quite impressive/professional. I decide to give this guy a call and just by the conversation I knew I had found my massage therapist. Anthony is a avid sports fan so if you are into baseball, football, and have the basic jock injuries, he is you guy, he played college ball. The rates are very reasonable, His 85 min. Athletic combo package is the best, great deep tissue & reflexology.Plus receiving a free gym bag after the session, WOW what a promo for new clients, Did not have a gym bag & I really needed one. The fact he is very caring for his clients and just getting tokens gifts, even the high class establishment spa's can't even give away a free pencil. I like the home base office, the room is very relaxing, & after you fill out client info. form, Anthony goes over ever detail deciding on the best therapeutic treatment. You are not rush. I will be a regular client. If you are serious in working out, training and need your own personal massage therapist, call this guy and save yourself a headache .

Pros: Expert is Sports, Deep Tissue, stretch therapy, Never had a steam facial, but I will from this point on, Andersonville is a great area, a good beer after your massage will complete your day

Cons: Call early, Friday & Saturdays are diffcult, Anthony works for himself and is in demand this time of year, I highly recommed calling early to RSVP

I did not know how hard it would be to seek a male licensed sports therapist on the northside would be. I am a active athlete and train at least 3 times a week. I have a personal trainer who suggested that I seek a personal massage therapist with knowledge of Sports/Muscle-Tendon therapy. Seems easy especially with all the health clubs in Lakeview & Lincoln Park. In Health clubs the therapist mostly give swedish massage, many know that Deep Tissue, Sports massage takes a lot of work & energy and refuse to do this therapy. I am a muscular guy and take harder deep tissue. I had seen ENERGIZE on the internet and read ANthony's reviews and thought I would give him a try. The conversation was professional, his rates are reasonable, and the 85 min. Sports/Deep Tissue was the best, very strong hands & elbow therapy. I like the home office atmosphere, very relaxing and he is a total sports fan, I think we talked Cubs/Sox & Bears for about 1/2 hour, he knows his sports. Anthony is a ex jock/Trainer so it was so refreshing to explain what was hurting and he knew the problem of my hamstring & lumbar back problem. His qualification are in full view. He also did a yoga/thai stretch on my back that cracked and my god the pain disappeared.Anthony is a family man like myself, not to many straight male therapist on the northside that is licensed or even played any sports. After the session, and i knew I had finally found my personal therapist, he suggest the VIP massage package. I also got a gym bag which I really needed and did not expect nothing of that quality. This Guy knows how to run a true massage business of total standards and puts the clients needs first, now that's rare!!!! For you male athlete's who seek a personal massage therapist, Give Energize & Anthony a try, you will not be disappointed

I have been in search for a real licensed therapist in the northside area. I have tried several so call therapist who said they knew the art of Deep Tissue/Trigger Point. I tried those spas & health club with no luck. The therapist seem more on rush for time & money than the therapy I was seeking. I just about gave up on this, until I saw Energize. I had seen Anthony ad on the websites and after reading his reviews on Citysearch, I decide to take one more try. Well I finally struck gold.Even in conversation by his professional approach on muscle & tendon strain, I knew that this guy would understand the sports massage I was seeking. His home office is in the heart of Andersonville,great area. The massage room is very relaxing, fireplace in the room and a heated massage table. You fill out a client application and then Dr. Anthony will go over and suggest the massage that best fits your needs. He could have suggested something of a higher rate, but he sugggest their new client sports massage, which was perfect. You are not pressured.The best part, You receive a Gym bag. which I needed, First time I ever receive anything from a therapist, What a great business & excellent customer service. Best Deep Tissue , and yes I will be a regular client. I hope when you read this, that you will give Energize a try. and see what a great therapist Anthony is.

I visited Anthony on several occasions to have him treat the soreness in my right shoulder. After consultation, Anthony showed me several exercises to strengthen and stretch the muscles in my shoulder, and my pain has definately decreased over time. My mobility in that arm has also improved. Combined with Anthony's knowledge and friendly care and prompt appointment attention, the various massage therapists on staff are also quite effective and skilled in providing quality care to patients. Conveniently located, I highly recommend Energize to anyone seeking friendly, high-quality Therapeutic care.

Pros: Like having a massage with a heated table & Fireplace, Very knowledgeable on Sports massage,Finally a northside professional male therapist who is a athlete & understands sports muscle problems

Cons: Call early, especially evenings & weekends, Parking is diffcult on weekends, Please be on time

I guess you can call me a workaholic, 28, young professional attorney, with a 55 hr. work week. Stress has become my ememy, lack of sleep,neck & lower back ache, and yes my legs and feet. Now I am in athletic shape, and a buddy recommend Energize and really gave high marks on Dr. Anthony. I did a search on City Search and visited his website. Very professional and the pricing are reasonable. I read the reviews on his Deep Tissue & Sports therapy and decide to give him a try. I call and left a message,he returned my call right away and he explained he was with a client and he dosen't answer the phone when he with a client for it is unprofessional. I totally respect that. I explain my problem, he asked question on my health, my last therapy,ect. He suggested the 85 min. Sports/Deep Tissue/ Hot/Cold Therapy. He took me on the same day. I like the way he set up his Home/Office, very relax, a real comfort feeling. The Aromatherapy was pleasant. You will fill out a Client Info form, and Dr. Anthony will go over every detail to make sure of the correct therapy & the right pressure that is needed. The Therapy room is quite tranquil, candle light, massage music, heated massage bed. The Massage is excellent, the right pressure, The stretch therapy on my legs and back was very much like a Thai massage, he puts his whole body in his therapy, the Deep Tissue, is the best I ever had, I really recommend the Reflexology, my feet had no more pain. Rarely do you find a Male therapist that is licensed, Professional, Has the knowledge of Sports Injuries{ He played College Ball} and not that it makes a difference guys, he is Straight and make you feel at ease, especially those of you who never had a male therapist. My Wife who is expecting, I brought her along during the session, she was quite impress,I purchase a VIP Platium Massage Package,I want to get on a regular schedule, Thank you Anthony, you got a reg. Client, And I will tell my co-workers

What a great guy & professional Massage Therapist. Dr. Anthony really listened to me and helped me out. I have had good and bad luck with Massage Therapist, but this guy, I found a great therapist who not only understands Sports injuries, since he played active sports, but very knowledgeable on different massage technique. I am 25, work long hours, and going to the gym weekly does not get rid of my body stress.I did a internet search on pain and read regular massage therapy will erase back,neck & shoulder pain that I've had had for over three months. My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner. And the fact that he is right in my neighborhood, it's a miracle.I like the fact it is a home/office, A Dr. office or Spa is so open and not very comfortable to me. After a refreshing phone call,{ Finally a therapist who knew about sports & muscle injuries. Most of these therapist have never played sports in their lives] He suggested a medium pressure Deep Tissue/Sports Stretch, plus Hot/Cold therapy, My GOD, My lower back pain was completely gone the next day, During my massage, my wife waited in a separate room where she was serve coffee,music, and reading material, she felt very comfortable. Dr. Anthony is a 5 Star therapist, prices are very reasonable and you will not regret the visit.

As an aging athlete with lots of old injuries, chronic lower back, ITB, hamstring, and foot problems, (yes, I know, just about everything) Anthony/Energize Sports Massage is simply the best. With the help of Anthony this last Summer I played Ultimate Frisbee (very demanding physically), soccer, rode my bike to and from work, and jogged like I was much younger. Best of all, with little or no pain before or after some very hard work outs and tournaments. I quickly became a regular customer. At first I was a little weary given the location, it is in his private residence, but Anthony put me at ease. Anthony has taken the time to really find out what is wrong with my back, legs, and feet. It took a few sessions for him to figure it out, but after that it has been literally the best thing that has happened to my body in a long time. I have recommended him to other friends who run marathons, triatheletes, soccer players, and Ultimate players. Everyone has commented on the excellent massage. Anthony has great hands and knows how to apply pressure to bring relief, but not pain, and relieve soreness/problem areas. If you are looking for a great/excellent deep tissue massage/sports massage with some stretching, then look no further and give Energize/Anthony a call. Energize is simply the best this City has to offer, and I have a membership to the East Bank Club, and tried Cortiva, and other massages that I have compared to base my opinion on for this review.

Cons: Parking can be challenging, it is his private residence, but it only bothered me the first time

I was a lacrosse player in college and have had lower back pain for 3 years now, I think 28 is young and living on the northside I was amazed that there are limit sports /deep tissue massage therapist that are male.I like strong pressure on my spinal area and sorry ladies, it just not done. I went to a health club/ spa therapist, and they only did swedish massage with no pressure, and was over priced with no result. I did a search and came with Energize Sports Massage, Anthony was very knowledgeable about the body and my injuries ( Lower back, shoulder/ neck area) He took the time to explain and teach me about my conditions. It was refreshing to get a therapist that actually listened to me fully, not just cut me off and force their views without an explanation. He was not forcing any unnecessary treatment and clarified why he was doing the treatment he did do with me. His knowledge & personality was very professional. Anthony hours are more than accommodating, he works late evenings & the weekends can you believe that. Most of all, Mr. Reeves got me better quick. I feel great every time I leave his office. Thank You, Anthony

I have been a Chicago Fire fighter for 10 years, in good shape, 34 and until recently had lowe back pain. I didn’t realize how my hamstrings played into that pain. I never have been very flexible. I rarely stretch and I know I should, but I don’t really know what to do. I heard about Touch of Heaven & what a great therapist Anthony was on deep tissue therapy and body stretching, I was told he was a specialist in Deep Tissue & yoga stretching,so I thought I’d give him a try. I move in ways now that remind me of when I was a kid. I could do anything then! It’s great to have training in good technique when it comes to stretching. The tibetan massage was excellent, I was so stressed in my neck & had headache, since i receive a massage on a regular schedule, my pressure is down, and I have been painless in my neck, back, and no headache. Prices are very affordable,And Anthony establishment is first class,

Pros: Very knowledgeable on Sports,Deep tissue,stress,strong hands,good pressure on the lower back

Cons: You must be on time, especially on weekends, Dr. Reeves works alone,you must schedule in advance

I intially came on on the recommendation of my frat brother. He has told me on the great Sports/Deep Tissue massage he received from Anthony, I just wanted to try it. I am NOT a Spa guy. Never have been, I was a football jock in college and like heavy real Deep Tissue.I had been to some so call Sports therapist, the massage was so light and the Deep Tissue was weak, I really had just given up.I just thought ok I will try one more time,for the hell of it. Well thank God I was wrong and I am not afraid to admit it. It was just nice, no great. Anthony home/office is so comfortable, he greets you with a smile & his personality is very real. He was also a athlete in College and really knows the need of athletic muscle & sports pains.The massage room was really well designed.Heated massage table, candle light. It was very masculine and didn't make me feel at all strange that I was in a home/office. One of the few Straight male licensed therapist on the northside that is legit & official. I am definately going back, as soon as possible. I highly recommend Anthony if you seek a real professional sports /Deep tissue massage
