great music,

They were having a jam session and it was great, I hope it continues. Some really good players were there, had to figure out that it was Blue Willie T singing the blues.
- Pros: good music, nice atmosphere
- Cons: pricey call drinks

overall experience

A friend of mine and I went to this place on a Sunday Afternoon. We walked in and the place was empty. We were the only ones in there besides the bartender. It was kinda awkward at first. We ordered Bloody Mary's, and it was awful. It tasted like steak sauce over ice. I sent it back and settled for one of the many beers on tap. We ordered some 50 cent wings for an appetizer. They tasted phenomenal!!! I also had a sliced brisket sandwich. It was good, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I enjoyed our meal, the food is inexpensive, and the service was decent. I would consider going back, hopefully next time there will be more people in there.
Tuesday Night Delight
by bharder
Me and a group of friends go to this low profile place every tuesday night for $.50 beers. Cheap beer and nice people. The only downside is that it gets extremely smokey when crowded. Otherwise, fantastic.
Wings and Beer
by faribath
My boyfriend and I went with some friends to this local bar on Monday night-- 25 cent wings and $2 beer!! The wings were really good, and the prices are great. There are bands every night of the week, sometimes two in one night. Country/blues types were there our night. The place doesn't look like much from the street, but it's a cool spot to meet up with friends and not break the bank.
Yeee Haww!

If you like BBQ and country flavored music. This is the place. Excellent, friendly barstaff and great specials. The food is fabulous (hot links, brisket, real texas chili). Bands play just about every night and there is rarely a cover (make sure to drop a few bills in the bucket for the band). All around good time and great value. The brunch is killer.
- Pros: inexpensive, good food, live music
This Texas roadhouse theme bar in Ravenswood comes with barbecue, Lone Star beer and live country music.

The Scene
What this three-sectioned theme bar lacks in authenticity, it makes up for in good times. The front live-music area has a small stage; the central pool-and-darts room features a bar with a horseshoe-shaped service corner where good-natured female bartenders serve up Lone Stars. A wood-paneled rear area has three booths and five tables; walls are decorated with chicken-wire displays of glowing Thunderbird bottles. On weekends, displaced Southerners whoop it up with curious barhoppers while local bands get rootsy.
The Draw
Between the music, cowboy hats, over-the-top "distressed" decor (bathrooms feature sinks set atop a moonshine still), it's an experience. Bartenders pull eight drafts (Bitburger and Blue Moon among them) while the kitchen turns out baskets of smoked meat, pulled pork sandwiches, sides such as steak fries or beans and slabs of ribs.
