Best crab cakes in the city!!
by fl_doc
The staff was great from the minute we walked in the door. The waitress was great and took the time to talk with us eventhough it was New Year's Eve and they were packed. As for the food - the steaks were good, but the mashed potatoes are to die for. If you love crab cakes they are a must have - lots of crab and seasoned to perfection. The New York style cheesecake was decadent and a great finish to a good meal. Will be going back to try the ribeye on a Friday night!! Overall a great meal and worth the money.
Best steaks, good portions, rich atmosphere, friendly and attentive service

We had a great experience here while visiting Chicago from Detroit. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. Our two kids, 7 and 10, were well looked after. Although they say they don't have a kids menu, they can prepare kid friendly food like chicken cutlets.
Our steaks were excellent and perfectly prepared. Many steak restaurants will over cook a medium rare steak, but not Morton's.
Dinner is expensive, but what you would expect for such a fine restaurant. Portions are large, so expect to share side dishes like vegetables or potatoes. The wine list is extensive but over-priced, particularly on the lower priced end of the scale. We definitely recommend the souffle for desert. which you need to order at the same time as your entree.
- Pros: Steaks well prepared and delicious, atmosphere, attentive friendly service
- Cons: Expensive lower end wines on the wine list
USDA prime beef, elegant tableside service and mammoth martinis: A Morton's in the Loop.

In Short
With its dark-wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.
Not bad, had better

The food was good-not great. Our food took FOREVER. Several apologies from the wait staff. The Godiva chocoalte cake dessert was divine.
- Pros: steak, Godiva choc. cake
- Cons: overpriced

We recently visited Chicago and took our mother out for dinner for her birthday to Morton's. We called Saturday morning to make a reservation and they said "What is the best dinner time for your party?" I was shocked they even had anything open yet let us pick our reservation time. Our server was great explaining the menu to us and very friendly. We all had the F. Oscar with asparagus and crab meat on top of the steak. It just melted in your mouth. Cooked just how we asked too. Our server made mom feel very special and even took care of the dessert bill. We will definatly be back to Morton's.
- Pros: Great Location, Great Staff, Awesome food
Amazing!

I LOVE Morton's. I went there with my dad at around 7 p.m. and we were seated right away. The waiter was great, very friendly and attentive. The food, especially the steak, was amazing. My New York Strip was juicy, tender, and had great flavor. It's expensive, but so worth it. Morton's is probably my favorite steakhouse.
- Pros: Great food, Attentive waitstaff, Atmosphere
