I signed up for the free RSVP guest list. I thought that the website may have had a problem, since I submitted it several times, but didn't receive an e-mail confirmation. Nevertheless, I took the time to invite several well dressed ladies. We got there before 11 p.m. They couldn't find my name on the guest list. I thought that perhaps since I took the trouble of getting others involved the guy at the door would comp me. Instead he asked me to pay $20 each ($100 for all of us) or or buy a $45 drink package for each. I asked that perhaps he could "cut me some slack" and let us in, since it was obviously a technical issue with the web site. Instead, he chose to embarrass me in front of my guests. We left
Pros: On the outside, it appears to be a happening place
Cons: Rude bouncers, discrimination, prejudice

I had the opportunity to visit for an after party. My friends and I were treated respectfully and were greeted by friendly people once we were inside. The music was pumpin', the guys were pimp, and the service we received was spectacular. Maybe it was because of who the band was, but never the less, we had an Awesome time! My only complaint would be that at the close of the night, we were rushed to get our coats and get out with no explanation of what the rush was. But even with that, all went well. I would definitely go again if given the chance!!
Pros: Music, atmosphere, friendly people
Cons: Hate to leave

My girlfriends and I showed up at 1am on Friday, the 16th we tried to negotiate with the doorman to give us a break since it was late. The doorman was absolutely rude and made my two girlfriends and I pay $20 each , we go in and lights went on within a half an hour. We were shocked and outraged-how disgusting and rude for the doorman to charge us and not tell us that the club will be closing within half an hour. I tried to give Enclave the benefit of the doubt and decided to go with a girlfriend the next day Sat. 17. We were able to get in with no problem but the bartenders were completely rude. They seem to be annoyed taking orders and hating what they are being paid to do. I went from one bar to another and I just gave up! So just a warning ask what time they close before you go in-it is not worth the money to spend 20 minutes and prepare to wait for over a half an hour for a drink. I do love the music, the ambiance, but unfortunately I have left this club too many times with a bad taste in my mouth. BTW we went to Rino on Friday night after Enclave-my first time and it was awesome!!!!!
Pros: Music
Cons: Doormen/ bartenders

F****** HATE this place!!! Being on the List Doesn't help! I was just there Saturday 17th for two of my friends bday. We were a huge group of about 30 ppl but split in 3. I was on the list but had to pay $20 after they told us only 4 of 9 had to pay...they did the opposite + charged all but 4. My sister + I told the Girl bouncer (total b!%@&) + the other loser bouncer that they made a mistake and screwed us $100!! The guy says "sorry I can't move from this spot" As if he was actually doing anythign except ignoring ppl + thinking he's better than everyone! I tried to give it another shot, but it only got worse< NO COAT CHECK! After we waited in the RAIN for 25 min (that's with being on the list!) and paid $20 to enter an EMPTY CLUB (at 12am), you do want to take off your coat that's by that point Soakin wet.. we'll you can't!!! My sister complained to one of the Rude a$$ Black suit a$$es inside and she was told to take it downstairs and some guy in the kitchen will watch it for her! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! There are 3 stalls in the bathroom. No coat check. You get yelled for anything (e.i. standing too close to the cube/stages) + get questioned for walking out of the dance area. Bartenders ignore everyone and take forever to give you a drink.. then 2 drinks are $24.. that's not including the tip my bf gave! Music is alright..the sound is terrible! The best part is.. when the lights when up and everyone was leaving, we passed up about 5 ugly, butch a$$, stuck up bouncers that didn't even look at us to wish anyone at good night.. they kept looking straight up as if they were the guards in Rome! It's so sad that the ONLY person that did say bye was an hispanic busboy.. that said " have a good night, thanks for coming". I have been to many clubs but this is by far the place that makes you feel like a piece of $^%#.. no matter what your yrly income is and what car you pull up in! You will always be a beneath them.. unless your one of them!!

Ive given this place several chances for a good review. I still cant give one! My friend was moving away and decided to have his going away party at Enclave. I decided that i wasnt going to drink that much and didnt want to chip in for the bottles like they were going to. I rsvpd for free cover before 11 thru a website. Let me explain clearly that the bouncers PURPOSELY make you wait outside until after eleven because they want you to pay the cover. My boyfriend and I got there at 10:15. We were the only people in line at the time. It was raining sleet outside. We waited until 11:15 and they told us our RSVP was no good anymore.Luckily at that moment my friend pulled up and we got to go thru the back entrance because he was buying several bottles. Im begging you, dont waste your time or money... there are several clubs down the street that will take your money with a smile.
Pros: What Pros?
Cons: RSVP cons at the door, RUDE bouncers, bartenders will rip you off.

I actually like Enclave but was just reading these reviews to see what people write here. If someone doesn't like the place, I could care less. What I do find funny is that some self-proclaimed "hitter" writes a review on here to smear the place and just ends up looking like a complete fool. I would suggest eivis sit down and learn the subtle differences between: - their - there - they're You can place an object over "there". "There" are 7 days in a week. "They're" running a little late. "Their" club is called Enclave. I hope "they're" able to print money. Your big time friends must have a heart of gold to still hang out with someone like yourself. I suspect though that it was probably the owner of whatever construction company you work for that slummed it with you for the night.
Pros: It's a nice place, hot girls, lots of bathrooms
Cons: Meat-packs writing illiterate reviews of the place

horrible atmosphere. bouncers who walk around pretending to be busy and yelling commands like they're the FBI. one bouncer grab my friends arm thinking he was some else and almost got his butt handed to him. to reserve a table you have to buy a bottle, what type of policy is that? i got money but i don't drink champagne, so i refused. i've been clubbing for 10 years and have never seen a place that puts good times on the side to try to blatantly make money. p.s. info to your owners/managers: get things right or your be out of business next year.
Pros: location
Cons: service/ classless bouncers

Mother of god. For there own good the people that run this place better be able to print money because there sanctimonious and condecending service and demeanor is going to make them one quick, trick, pony. Then again, maybe there are so many twenty somethings that don't know the value of a dollar these guys will survive the typical 7 year gestation period of the hot-spot nightclub du jour. Judging from some of these not so glowing reviews from the twenty somethings that might not even save this place. Suppliers to this place should be watching there credit with these guys because there method of doing business is a sure fire way of going out-of-business -- in one quick coup de grace. After hitting many spots in the city I took some customers to Enclave, given I heard it was worth a visit. Granted we're old buzzards in our 40's we expected the geriatric treatment we went given it was a Wed. nite and the place was anything but busy at 11pm so it seemed a win-win for everyone. We paid the Old Buzzard toll of $40 a head so we could get in, covertly gawk and lick our eyebrows wondering why we keep getting older and the 25 year-olds girls never change. Don't get the idea we were a crew of schnooks drooling. We were very surrepticious in our observations. My guests could buy and sell the place just to fire the staff. And that's whay we laughed about becasue this place was so lame, over priced and horrible. This place is unbelievably full of itself. Not to name drop but many of my guests and I have been to places like the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, the lounge at the Cheteau Marmont, the nighclub at Turnberry Isle in Miami (a place back in the day that was filled with sheiks and celebrites snorting coke from cocktail tables cluttered with Dom). NONE of these places filled with REAL somebodys had the horrible service and attitued Enclave has. Good luck Dudes. Make it while you can. Respectfully, DW

My friends and I spent New Years Eve at Enclave and will definitely not go back. We stood in ice water while waiting to get in because the sidewalks were not shoveled. When we were finally inside, no staff was around to direct us to check our coats. The music was fine and if weren't for the group of friends I was with and the open bar, I would have had a horrible time. The night ended abruptly and the staff was literally yelling at the patrons to leave. The entrance to the coat check area was different at the end of the night than the beginning of the night. A mob of intoxicated people quickly formed in the confusion with everyone rushing to get their coats and the bouncers did nothing to help organize the situation. The coat check lost my umbrella and was just as “helpful” as the rest of staff. The staff was a complete let down, and when I asked for a manager, naturally, one could not be found. Any bar can pay for a celebrity to show up, hence the website pictures. This was the most poorly run place I have ever been to. I will never be back and would not recommend it, even to an enemy.

It's funny b/c I read the reviews and I thought the bad experiences that people have wrote about enclave were maybe biased, but it was actually right on the money. I've been to practically every club in Chicago and I can honestly say that the bouncers at Enclave have to be the most rude staff ever. We had a large party with us, even RSVP'ed on the guestlist and when we got there on a Saturday night, there was no line. Once the guestlist girl told the bouncer we were on the guestlist he whispered to her to stall our group so we would have to pay full admission. He let half the group in and tried to make everyone else pay $20. The inside wasn't bad, it looked pretty nice. I actually overheard a guy inside complaining that he had to pay $40! Which is absolutely ridiculous. The bouncer thought he was all tough and tried pushing the guys back, as if he was all important but there wasn't even a line! We asked to speak to a manager and of course one of the other bouncers says it wouldn't matter, etc. The guestlist girl even told someone in our group that she thought it was totally unfair and wrong of the bouncers to do that, but obviously she doesn't have the ability to do anything. Our group left because it put such a damper on our night and it had nothing to do with the money, but just the fact that the bouncer was a complete pr*ck. We went to Reserve, which was probably the best thing that could've happened to us. The staff there was so friendly and they let us in quickly even though it was pretty crowded inside. Thank you Enclave, for saving us from having a terrible night at your no-class club.
Pros: Nice space
Cons: Rude staff
