We have been using Chicago Urban Tails for about a year now, and couldn't be happier. The walkers are dependable, go the extra mile to get to know your pets, and do a lot of things that pleasantly surprised me (like cleaning up a kennel and the surrounding vicinity from a sick puppy (and cleaning up the puppy) so you don't come home to a crusty mess; carrying a dog with recent back surgery up and down stairs). Our dogs love seeing the same people everyday for their playtime and outing. They have also been great to call on for an extra walk and dinner feeding when working late. I HIGHLY recommend using this service. They are trustworthy, reliable, responsive, and the dogs love them. What more could you want?

I just got back from a 17 day trip to Italy and I have never come home to happier more content cats. Normally, I just have friends come over and check on my two cats while I am on vacation but since this was a longer trip I decided to try something else. I have never used a pet service but this experience has converted me. Usually, my cats are pretty unhappy when I get back from vacation but not this time. Not only were my cats super happy but my plants were watered, my mail was on the counter, and I had a note for everyday I was gone with how my cats were doing and the activity the service provided. It was fantastic. I would recommend Chicago Urban Tails to anyone.

Normally I would never take the time out of my work day to write a review for company; however I feel that Urban Tails should be viewed as an example of how a pet-care service should be run. Without getting into the specifics of their business model, which was/is so carefully and precisely implemented, every aspect of the services rendered is beyond reproach. Their communication efforts are superb - they are extremely friendly with humans and dogs! And even leave a summary after each walk, which I find extremely nice. The staff is excellent! I (or rather my girlfriend and I) completely trust the entire staff with the safety of our beloved bulldog Sebastian and pug Chloe. Our dogs love their walkers and are always excited to see them! I really can't say enough about this company. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE who needs animal day care. If they can handle my mischievous adolescent bulldog Sebastian and his devious sister pug Chloe they can do anything! You guys are great! - Jon and Kaya

Cons: I have never had a single issue in two years.

From the managment to the walkers, these guys are the best! I have had my walker for about a year now and she is wonderful! She comes around the same time every day and she leaves the cutest notes for me to come home to! The staff are always so responsive and nice; you can definetly tell this a group of people following their true passion for animals! They are also the cheapest I have been able to find, so just another reason why I give them 2 THUMBS UP!

I have been a happy customer with Chicago Urban Tails since getting my cavalier, Nigel, over 3 years ago. But last week they went way above their usual standard in taking care of him. Our walker, Morgan, noticed that Nigel was wheezing and didn't seem to want to walk. She carried him down the 3 flights of stairs so he wouldn't exert himself and let the manager, Mary, know what was going on. Mary immediately got a hold of me at work to let me know what was going on. Needless to say, I was very worried since he had been fine that morning and even more concerned because neither my husband or I had access to a car and were at least 2 hours away from getting home. I asked Mary to take him to drop him at our local animal hospital because we were unsure if he could wait for us to get home. She was kind enough to do so and called us from the vet's with a report and even did a follow up call later in the evening to see how Nigel was doing. Fortunately, he turned out to be fine, thanks to Morgan and Mary's concern and follow through. It is comforting to know that when you can't be present, Urban Tails will be looking out for your beloved dog.

Pros: responsive and flexible

Cons: the nature of dog walking is there is turnover in the walkers

Our pooch loved her walks with Will ... she seemed like a different dog on the days he'd come over and walk her--she had more energy, and it was clear that she felt great after getting some more exercise. Will definitely bonded with our dog, and he left a daily log of their adventures. When he had some extra time, he'd spend it with her, too, instead of just moving on ahead of schedule. On top of that, he was reliable, which is crucial when your dog needs to be walked and fed. That's sadly more than I can say about some other services in town. I highly recommend Chicago Urban Tails!

Chicago Urban Tails by far exceeded all of my expectations when it comes to their walkers, their customer service and their organization. They always return my calls promptly; they are the friendliest business I have ever worked with and it is obvious they have a true passion for animals. I have tried 2 other companies in this city and Urban Tails by far is the best company. I never worry about if they are going to show up and they always leave the best notes for me to come home to. My walker is great; I really feel like she has fun with my dog every day and that is really important to me. Both of the owners of the company are very friendly and helpful and I can tell that they want nothing more than for me to be satisfied with the service they provide. I was referred to them by a couple of other friends and we all feel the same way about this company; they are fabulous! You certainly can't go wrong with them!

Urban Tails has walked my dog Charlie for the last three years. The owners and managers of the company literally provide the best customer service of any company that I do business with in Chicago. I receive return calls promptly after leaving messages confirming their understanding of my request or in answer to my questions. The walkers themselves are extremely friendly and helpful. I honestly can't say enough about how much I like Urban Tails after having some negative experiences with other dog walking services in the past.

After trying another service which repeatedly FORGOT to show up to take care of my dogs (or was up to 2 hours late in doing so) - I will never go anywhere else but Urban Tails. The staff is incredibly friendly. They are extremely accomodating. And they are 100% reliable. I know my dogs will be WELL taken care-of when I leave them every day. Thanks for the peace of mind!!

Chicago Urban Tails has been walking my puppy, Scout, for five months, and they have been absolutely wonderful. Their walkers are very responsible and caring, and the whole organization is so hassle-free. I love that Scout gets undivided attention every weekday afternoon while I'm at work. When I get home, there's always a nice message about the day's walk waiting for me. While it's hard to leave Scout in the morning, Chicago Urban Tails makes it infinitely better. It's great to be able to go to work knowing that Scout will have the best care in the city while I'm away!
