Excellent gourmet Mexican

by njwagner

Very inventive, delicious dishes on a small menu, and the drinks are equally inventive and tastey! The number of entrees is limited, and becomes even more so if you're a vegetarian, but all the food itself is excellent. Very good date spot with nice atmosphere, though a tad crowded.

We hope this one lasts

by mfloChicago

In a neighborhood where the many restaurants don't last, we truly hope Brioso is around for a long time. Fresh delicious "Mexican" food. We sampled all of their tacos--all were very good, but the shrimp taco was best. Incredible guacamole and even better mango margaritas.

  • Pros: Mango Margarita, friendly service, reasonable
  • Cons: tight space

Great new restaurant

by prohrbacher

We loved Brioso!! The steak and pork tacos were great. We heard that this was a really good new restaurant in the city and made the drive in from the suburbs...definitely worth the trip! We'll be back!

Contemporary Mexican restaurant in Lincoln Square spices up dishes with fruity, tangy flavors.

by Valerie Moloney

In Short
Black-and-white photographs grace the sage-colored walls in this upscale L-shaped Mexican eatery. A tiny front bar brightens the room with its mosaic pattern. With chill, lounge-y tracks playing on the speakers, couples on dates feast on starters like seviche of halibut, shrimp, poblano, avocado and mango or carne asada, then follow with more substantial entrees such as slow-roasted adobo pork or pepper crusted-tuna served with fried plaintains and bok choy.
