Most excellent resturant in Schamburg area

by Sandymonet

This is our favorite resturant. Everyone we take there loves it too!

I have always had excellent service, well once it was not good, but the food is what I went for and was never disappointed.

I love how your server asks what is your favorite meat and how you want it prepared. They will also make sure that your favorite is brought to your table more often as well.

We used to go every Sunday, but am now trying to lose weight...so we only go at least once a month. It is the only time that we eat beef, because nobody and I do mean nobody does it like they do at Texas de Brazil.

The Brazillian drinks are soo good. We love the Sangria, wish I could make it like that at home!

Cudo's to Texas de Brazil!!! Thanks for the coupons too!

  • Pros: best service, meats, salad bar
  • Cons: far from my house

Best Salad Bar by FAR!!! Spectacular flavorful meats you could ever ask for

by Redh0tw

Been to several Texas De Brazil's including the new on in downtown Chicago on Ohio Street. Although the downtown one is unique with the full size wall of wine with a "gymnast on a wire" dancing and grabbing the bottles of wine, Schaumburg is my favorite and the servers were fantastic.

We brought with us a few friends that had never experienced a brazillian steak house and the waitstaff, bus boy, hostess and manager made sure that they had a fantastic time and of course us too.

We drive 3 hours to enjoy this restaurant, since that is the closest one. Plus afterwards we can walk off our meal in the mall.

Fantastic salad bar, with any and everything you could possibly imagine, with so many assorted dressings and little extras. The meats are prepared all differently so you may get yours the way YOU want it.

If you have never experienced it before...... you are missing out! Would recommend as a great surprise for Anniversary, Birthday, Valentines, or just for a different place to experience.

  • Pros: Atmosphere, Ambience, Wine, Service, Food, Value
  • Cons: Wish there was one locally for myelf personally

The best steakhouse under $60 in the country!

by AZWildcats

Texas de Brazil specializes in serving Brazilian-style beef, lamb, pork, and chicken tableside. There is a flat fee (I think around $45) that includes all the meat, salad, rolls, and soup you can eat. Not only is the food amazing, but the service beats any sit down restaurant in the country. Waiters constantly walk around asking if you need more meat, sides, or drinks. There is also a great salad bar that includes soups, shrimp, fish, and cheese. I really liked the popover bread that they serve complimentary. The dessert I had, cheesecake, was also very good. My favorite meat is the bacon-wrapped filet mignon. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date, wives, clients, or friends.

  • Pros: The best meats you have ever tasted thanks to the Brazilian seasoning
  • Cons: It's a little expensive, but what do you expect for all-you-can eat top quality meat?

Best meat

by amandalovesfood

This place has an awesome salad bar and meat. We made reservations and it did take over 10 mins to get seated so that sorta sucked. But the food was very yummy. This place is expensive but my friend had a half off coupon so it was well worth it.

  • Pros: Tons to eat, service excellence
  • Cons: Resevations to sit took awhile (10 mins)

Best Texas de Brazil in the country

by Rasiulis

I have been to several Texas de Brazil in the country and this is the best one, from quality of the food to service. Especially like to recommend Ivan E as the server, has to be top 3 servers I have ever had at any restaurant. He makes sure that you always get the right cut of meat, and gave us a special treat with a 1944 Colheita Port for the same price as the 1977, but they were out of the 1977. Managers come by often to make sure things are good. Even the "bus boy" was very thorough.

  • Pros: Service (Ivan E), managers, buss boy, food, wine, how about everything?
  • Cons: none

Anyone working here!!!!!!!!!!

by rashad83

First of all we had reservations at 8pm and did not get seated till 9pm,which to me is a bad start to our dining experience. We only saw our waiter when we got seated and he introduced himself, after that there was no sight of him no kidding till the end of our dinner. He would assist tables nearby but not us,not impressed to be honest. The salad bar is awesome and had many varieties, on the other hand the meats were not all that and little variety. We usually get desert but did not bother this time, we just wanted to leave. If i was to rank the brazilian steakhouses i have been to i would place Brazzaz first, then sal and carvao and lastly texas de brazil.overall bad service and average food.Go to Brazzaz.

  • Pros: Salad bar
  • Cons: Bad service and unwelcoming staff.

Good salad bar

by luvs2travel

We've been to the other "all the meat you can eat places" & decided to go with the salad bar only option. It's rather expensive for just a salad bar & once the waiter knew we weren't going to be having the full meal we never saw him again. We had to flag him down to get another drink.

Expensive buffet with mediocre service

by colinsilveira

Very expensive dinner choice with poor service. They have two options for dinner; a full menu and a lite menu. The lite menu offers access to the salad bar only. The full menu includes the meat choices. The lamb chops and sirloin were good and cooked well. The chicken parmesan was deep fried and tasted mediocre. All the meats were very salty and that was compounded by those flavoured with bacon. The salad bar was good and offered a good variety of vegetables and cheese. The staff acted like they were programmed to speak and did not respond to questions. Even though it was my birthday, they did not do anything special. Overall it was mediocre and very expensive for the value and quality. You are better off going to a steak restaurant if you like meat.

Brazilian steakhouse comes with a Texas twist in Schaumburg.

by Contributor

In Short
Chicagoland's lovefest for churrascarias continues with this outpost just outside Woodfield Mall. The steakhouse serves skewers of seasoned beef, pork, chicken, lamb and Brazilian sausage that have been cooked over an open flame grill. If the parade of meats being served tableside isn't filling enough, head to the salad bar for artisan breads, Brazilian hearts of palm, sauteed mushrooms, olives, black beans and more. Unbutton your pants for dessert, including flan and coconut pie.
