I have been going to Andreana for over 4 years and she has just left Brilli to go to Avieve Salon. The only reason to go to Brilli, in my opinion, is for the great cut and color she did every time I was in. I will be following her to her new salon and I recommend anyone looking for the best stylist to request Andreana when booking at Avieve. After numerous phone calls trying to persuade me to go to another stylist at Brilli I hope they finally understand that Andreana is the reason I went there!!!! Oh well, I think she is great and just wanted to let people know where she is at :)

I just moved into the city and was looking for a great place to get my hair done. I'm pretty particular when it comes to cut and color, so it's a BIG risk for me to go somewhere new. I have to admit, I had a GREAT experience at Brilli Salon. Not only did Pamela want to know about my likes, dislikes she really took the time to get to know me so she could give me the perfect cut / color. I am extremely happy with my results and plan to go back here from now on!!!

I moved here from Manhattan about 6 months ago. I had a hair disaster when I first moved to Chicago and have been letting the color grow out. A friend recommended Brenda at Brilli to fix my botched color. She made it look great, and it feels healthy again. I'm so glad I was able to find someone I can trust. Plus, the salon is super cute and everyone was reaaly welcoming. Parking is tough though.
Pros: Brenda knows her stuff, friendly staff.
Cons: parking

I went to Brilli to be a brazilian wax model with Sara. Not only was she super adorable, she was very sweet, and she wasn't afraid to get right in there, if you know what I mean! Although I was one of Sara's first brazilian waxes ever, it was one of the best ones I have ever gotten. After the service I had no soreness or tenderness in that, as we all know, very sensitive area! I will be going back!
Pros: Location, great staff, painless waxing!

This place is really cute and all and the people are really nice, I went to get my eyebrows waxed and I everything was going well and this girl was being super careful and everything and it was almost painless. You are probably thinking it was a great experience, well it was, if it wasn't for the fact that I came out of there with my eyelids RUINED! this was thursday morning and it's monday and still have scabs on my eyelids, at first it just looked like somebody punched me bc it was all purple but now my skin feels dry and it looks awful, I couldn't even put aloe because anything that touched it burned my skin and was just too painful. So now I have beautiful eyebrows but my eyelids are burnt and ruined. =(

Because this salon was reviewed so highly, I tried it out expecting a great cut. I ended up spending $200 for highlights and a cut that was average (nothing that should have cost $70) because the stylist used up my allotted time trying to fix the color she mixed that turned my hair ash colored. And then complained because I had brought a friend to help me determine a style. She was also argumentative when I said that "ash" was not my normal hair color. The attitude was terrible and the salon over priced.
Pros: products, look of salon
Cons: bad attitude, haircut not above average, colorist not knowledgeable

Guess I should've known that all the favorable reviews were written by friends or payed employees. I left this place feeling ripped off and dissapointed. The woman who cut my hair was pushy with everything, she talked a good game, but didn't really deliver- talked about this new haircut,(poorly executed) and these "fabulous products"(which left my hair a goopy mess). Please, if your looking for a great haircut without the "snake oil" treatment go somewhere else. Now, I have to grow out this choppy mess of a haircut before I can even get it fixed!! Worst of all I bought a bunch of products and I don't even know how to use them, that's what I get for spending so much $$$ in such a short amount of time- half hour, what a joke!
Pros: none
Cons: bad haircuts, pushy sales tactics

I'm okay with expensive haircuts. I figure quality comes with the price but when I'm charged nearly *$80* dollars for a 25 minute men's haircut it better be good. I'll admit.. it was good. The problem came with follow-up. "If you need a trim-up between cuts, just come on in!" I was told. It never happened. I called three times three days in a row. Then a week later: "Umm... yeah... we're booked. Sorry." Come on! The girl who answered the phone seemed like a robot. She wasn't able to even *try* and accommodate or say "Ya know, let me ask the stylist." If you're going to promise one thing you *have* to deliver it when you charge a premium price. Customer services sets you apart just as much as a competent cut. If you don't have it, you risk getting average review from a former client. Luckily, this experience led me to another salon. One that's just as nice, cheaper and VERY cool. Ladies, my hat's off to you if you want to pay a lot for not a lot. Guys? I'd look up another salon... maybe one that specializes in mens cuts.
Pros: Decent haircuts.
Cons: Premium price doesn't mean you're a premium salon

I had a haircut, highlights and waxing done, and I was out in less than two hours. I was surprised. For the quality of the service and the way the salon looked, I expected to pay more, but I was pleasantly surprised again. The staff is nice, and I wasn't left waiting without attention. That's important to me. Somebody always kept me informed or asked if I needed anything.
Pros: Good prices, good quality, evening openings.
Cons: Parking was tough

I just had a facial from Jennifer last evening and my husband said it was the first time I came home from being out and didn't crab at him. Ha. It relieved so much stress and my skin looks great too. She gave me some good product suggestions, which I didn't buy, but I'm putting them on my Christmas list.
Pros: Great facial. Nice atmosphere.
Cons: Not a super quiet setting like other spas, but it was still good.
