I saw Jennifer at Sine and I think she is wonderful. She did my highlights and they were beautiful. I have never had such beautiful color. When I got there she sat me down and asked me what I liked and didn't like about my hair. No one as ever asked me that before. She payed close attention to me to figure out exactly what I wanted and it was sooo great. I would recommend her to anyone.

The location itself is a very nice part of the city. I prefer the Clark location over the 2 locations on Lincoln because the neighborhood is a bit calmer and there is always parking. but on to the best stylist in Chicago... Yola is a godsend! I have been going to every salon in the city trying to find someone that could actually do my hair the way I want it. Nobody was able to get it right. I saw reviews for Sine and decided to check it out. They booked me with Yola, which best the best thing that's happened to my hair in years. I got a cut and highlights/all over color. The color was BEAUTIFUL and the cut was fabulous!!! I've been following her around between the 3 different Sine Qua Non locations because I refuse to go to anyone else now. I'm so happy she's in Andersonville now for good. Go to Yola. Her services are wonderful. The prices aren't too bad, either!!!
Pros: great prices for that part of the city, great music, friendly staff
Cons: sometimes theres a dog in there..

I've been a hair nomad for the last 6 years in Chicago... lots of $5 haircuts, lots of training program students, lots of people who were reasonably priced when I started going ($30-$40) and had raised their prices by $10 every time I went for a haircut. But I feel I've finally found a home. I made a last minute afternoon appointment and was scheduled with Yola. I love Yola! She was friendly and professional and VERY intuitive about what I wanted and what would look great on me. She made sure we both knew exactly what was going on before she started cutting. Not chatty (which I appreciate), but very good, and I am so happy with my cut. And VERY reasonably priced ($46) for the high quality of the work. All of the staff I encountered were very nice.
Pros: Great work, very intuitive and helpful suggestions, not pushy, no bad attitudes
Cons: none!

I’ve been through quite a few salons in the city searching for “the one” that offers the most consistent service and makes me feel the most comfortable. And Sine Qua Non has done that for me. I have to give props to the Sine Qua Non establishment for drawing the most consistent and stellar talent to all of their locations, as well as knowing how to make that accessible. Located in Lincoln Park, Roscoe Village and now Andersonville, I feel like no matter where you are on the north side, there’s a SQN pretty close. I’ve settled into the Andersonville location for its minimal yet sophisticated interior and more so, for its great services. Staff has always been friendly, and the stylists are skilled, hip and top-notch time and time again. I’m partial towards Bridgett but from what I’ve seen, they all seem to be pretty good. The vibe is funky, energized, yet chill enough to make you relaxed and enjoy the visit. For me, Sine Qua Non salons beat out any downtown, overpriced, overproduced, Stepford salon. Kidding about the Stepford part but really … if you gravitate towards neighborhood estabs over the downtown masses, I highly recommend finding the nearest SQN salon.
Pros: Easy to park, Great Stylists, Great product line
Cons: Not as accessible via train

Sine qua non provides excellent service from the receptionist to the stylists. The appointment-making rules may be strict to some but they give you a reminder call and are always friendly. No Gold-Coast attitude here! I've been seeing Brad for over a year and his creativity, technique, and personality are just what you want in someone cutting your hair. I even sent my boyfriend to him and now he loves Brad too! No product-pushing and the hours are very good. Most nights have appointments that work with my schedule--and I work downtown and never get home before 6 pm. The salon may be south of Foster, but that means street parking is always pretty easy to find. Bottom line, if you want a salon that will demand your loyalty and never let you down in terms of what you get for your money, Sine Qua Non is the only choice!
Pros: Service, Personalities, Scheduling

Just a great, relaxing atmosphere...everyone is incredibly friendly. Bridgett is a phenomenal stylist, I have been going to her for over a year and a half. (which is an eternity for me) Highly recommended to all.
Pros: Wonderful staff, love the space, never an issue with parking.
Cons: None for me, but location could be a problem for some.

I love this salon. It has such cool decor and very skilled and talented stylists. My favorite stylist is Bridgett, but Brad and Geneva are also very good.
Pros: Skilled stylists. Warm and inviting space
Cons: It is a bit far from the main part of Andersonville.

i walked your salon to pick up information and promptly booked an appointment- WOW. andersonville has not seen this yet! your salon is so beautiful and clean and i couldn't believe how nice and informitive your front desk staff is. that's really just the icing on the cake, i'm so glad to have such a jem of hairstylist- brad rocks my life now. the selection in my neighborhood was EXTREMELY limited. i'd heard such awesome things about your salon in the past and now it's actually really convenient for me. you rule.
