I was looking for some new cut and color ideas and took a chance on Steven at his old salon after reading a little on this site. It really paid off! I started with bland, slightly damaged hair. Steven gave me the most beautiful highlights and low lights and such a great, really flattering cut. And now I can't even see the damage from my old stylist! I am so excited!!! Its rare to find a stylist at such a high end salon that specializes in both cut and color. I can't say enough good things about him! THANK YOU, STEVEN! And good luck at your new location, I will see you there again, soon!

Pros: Love the new place and the new 'hood, parking is a big plus

Cons: none!

I'm so happy to see my stylist, Steven Fitzpatrick, has moved up to a great work space like Tsubo. I love the warehouse feel, the tall ceilings, large open spaces and it actually has its own parking. But best of it all it has my stylist, Steven. I have seen Steven for many years now, he has saved my hair and my self esteem on many occasions. We have pretty much done it all over the years, high / low lights, over all color, just about every imaginable hair cut and even some extensions when I couldn't wait to have long hair before last summers vacation. A girlfriend of mine gets her hair straightened by him, he was previously the educator for Q8 and Rusk hair straigtening systems. There is also some really fun shopping near by at El Paso Imports and Salvage One.

Pros: PARKING!, incredible, fun, talented people

I have been following Brett for 18 years and have never been disappointed in his cuts or color. Long/short, bold or subtle, he never lets me down. Named as one of Chicago's best in Allure Magazine, you get more than double your money's worth from him. He's recently moved to Tsubo and now the experience is even better. The space is delightful and the service offering is unbelievable. It's a complete wellness experience. Whether you want to improve your look or your body, you can get it all done there. I'm certainly addicted to Brett and I'm sure I'll become addicted to Tsubo. Congrats Brett...this was a great move.

I recently followed my stylist, Brett Ponder, who had relocated to and joined Tsubo as an owner/operator. What a inviting and relaxing salon experience Tsubo turned out to be. It's an environment off the beaten path of "typical and tired" salons in Chicago's West Town neighborhood. The vartiety of services should make anyone happy from full hair services, skin care, massage, personal training, yoga, pilates and even a sunday morning karate class. Brett's skills are great with women's cuts and color, especially his highlight work. I highly recommend this uniquely individual salon experience to both women and men. I can't say enough good things about my experience. CHECK IT OUT!!! A truly unexpected hidden secret in Urban West Town... I loved the 24/7 online booking aspect - why aren't more salons onboard?!

Pros: Free Parking Lot out front - Loved that!

Cons: not a cab area

My stylist recently started working out of Tsubo, and I was pleasently surprised. Beautiful space and vibe. Loved my hair (that's why I went there in the first place) But in the future I plan on taking some yoga classes.

Pros: comfortable, beautiful, parking

Cons: easy to miss
