We had really high hopes for this restaurant but it was beyond disappointing. How dare they charge so much for the food when they are a dump!!! I ordered the flor de calabaza empanada appetizer and a glob of a tasteless something showed up on my plate looking nothing like a empanada. Then I ordered the stuffed chicken with corn mushroom and that was a complete disaster. It looks bad and it tasted even worse - the mushroom stuffing looked like swage. My husband ordered the seviche and the steak dinner. We were both sick for the next couple of days. We definitely don't recommend it. Nothing good to say about the service either.
Pros: nothing
Cons: all

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. The food is exquisite, and the prices are extremely reasonable. This is not your average Mexican restaurant. The only suggestion I have is to call ahead and make a reservation.
Pros: Great Food
Cons: Crowded

Went there for brunch one Sunday afternoon with the gf and had a delicious meal. It's a quiet spot and was not very busy when we arrived at 1:30, but quickly got super packed with a wait after about 20 minutes. Really filling brunch dishes and decent service. Ample parking for weekend brunch hours. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because there didn't seem to be too many brunch dishes. If I were to go again with my gf, we'd probably end up choosing from the same few dishes we like. They're really good, but a bit more variety would be fantastic.

My friend just got an awesome little apartment in Pilsen and we decided to go to dinner and celebrate. We walked by this little place and decided to try it. I do not regret that at all. It looks a little hidden, but it is such a great find. We sat in the back portion of the restaurant. She had the salmon with some great caramelized papaya, I had the carne asada with some awesome foil-cooked nopales and wonderful beans that seemed to have a hint of bacon giving it amazing flavor. Needless to say, we decided to split the entrees. BOTH dishes were out of this world. One thing I did not like was our server. She was not the friendliest around. Luckily there was another server working there that night that was a lot more helpful. The food overall was great, we were disappointed that they had run out of their homemade sangria, but that's just another reason to go back. And believe me, I will be going back.
Pros: great food, relaxing ambience, simple decorations
Cons: not a lot of parking, one rude server
