such a wonderful selection, such a dismal reception

I was very excited to hear about this shop and hoping to meet kindred spirits but my first and only experience was quite disappointing.

When I entered the shop my "hello" was greeted with stares and silence by the women sitting at the table. As I browsed through what was admittedly a wonderful selection the women continued to stare at me silently until I gave up and left the store a few minutes later. What a shame - it truly is a beautiful and well stocked store, but I won't be braving the atmosphere here anytime soon. Thank goodness for internet shopping and knitting groups - I would rather spend my money locally, but apparantly neither it nor my presence are welcome at Chix with Stix.
