I started seeing Tim because of contant back pains and body aches. He did a series of manipulative body movements that were quite painful coupled with acupunture. The pain went away for 2 months! Tim told me in that time to practice yoga to help keep my muscles supple and of course i didn't! I finally went to his yoga class on Monday and I have to say it is the best in the city that I have gone to. Relaxing and energizing at the same time it was like a massage. I intend to go atleast once a week. If you want to do something wonderful for your body and spirit this is the place to go!

The Yoga classes here are unbelievably refreshing and centering! I have been attending class once a week since February because of the amazing results in my body and mind. Each class is between 75 and 90 minutes, includes an opening and closing prayer and a serious of gentle (yet sometimes strenuous) stretches that i can feel the impact of throughout the week. I love practicing yoga here, and look forward to it every week!

I have been going to AHG for 1 yr now for both yoga and acupuncture. I have been helped tremendously by both programs. As a health care professional myself, I am very selective with the treaments and wellness programs I involve myself in. This facility is professional yet personal attending to your individual needs. The staff is involved with each client and truly enjoys assisting people through life. I highly recommend any service provided at this location. Staci

After only one session I noticed increased energy the next day, less anxious and I wasn't craving food as I usually do all day. The instructor is excellent. He is attentive, guides you nicely through the night and creates a really positive and calm mood in the room. I will plan my schedule and go twice a week for sure, wouldn't miss it. It's just that good! Jan

I was very lucky to have found Suzanne Woods, she was someone who could help me and she has the same disease. Since we both have Crohn's disease we were a good match from the start. We start my acupuncture ASAP and we disscused our disease openly which made me feel like a real persons. Its been about five months and I have never felt better!!! As far as I'm concerned she has saved my life. Today I can wake up and face the world. She is the most wonderful person I have meet, open and warm as soon as I walk through the doors. The whole group at Alternative Health Group LLC make me feel like family. I can't say anthing bad at all, my intestines and my stomach feel fantastic. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! We are tring new things all the time to help my joints (I also have RA) it gives me hope. So again thank you Suzzie, Marla Munden

I started seeing Tim at the Alternative Health Group after my husband was seeing him for 5 months. I was a skeptic about acupuncture, despite growing up with very traditional Chinese remedies. My husband swears by Tim's sessions and what he offers as ways to treat his ailments. Always a non-trusting of what Western medicine had to offer, he gave acupuncture a shot. He was suffering from a variety of ailments, including digestive problems, lactose intolerance and sinus problems. He was willing to try anything. After religiously using a combination of acupuncture, change in diet and Chinese herbs, he has noticed a drastic improvement. Tim is essentially his primary physician now and helped him through an episode of kidney stones - non-evasively. I started seeing Tim in August after suffering similar sinus problems, specifically congestion in my ears that caused really loud ringing. I also was suffering from a heel spur that made it very painful for me to walk. I was at my breaking point and decided to give Tim a try. I can say now that I feel so much better, possibly even better than before seeing Tim. I adjusted my diet along with regular treatments and herbals. Can you believe that dairy was the root of my sinus problems? I cut that daily Starbucks (which was the hardest thing for me) and have slimmed down in weight, as a result. I highly recommend the Alternative Health Group. Tim and the rest of his staff are super friendly and knowlegeable. They will help you whatever your situation is and give you guidance towards the right path to better heath.

Pros: Really calming environement, the minute you walk through the door

Cons: You might have problems finding a parking spot.

Since my first meeting of the staff at Alternative Health Group, they have been above and beyond. I suffered from health issues on and off for quite a few years. With the guidance and devotion of Tim and his wonderful team I am now able to understand the "how's and why's" of my body. This facility is a gem in Wicker Park and a zen-like atmosphere in a world where finding peace is a rarity. I have been going to Alternative Health Group for almost a year now and I recommend them highly to all that I know. If you are looking for a staff of health specialists that know how to treat you and your body 110% phenomenal, then this is the place for you!

Pros: I noticed the change in me greatly.

Cons: I can't take the staff home with me!!

When i got to Alternative Health Group for the first time i was in the worst shape ever. Excessive pain back wasn't going away for months. After unsuccessful conventional treatments i lost my hope that i would ever get better. Thanks to this wonderful people I can enjoy my life again and even more. In a great crative atmospfere is easy to trust that u can become healthier, better person.

The Yoga instructor, Tim, is phenominal - read his background information on the website, and you'll understand where his passion for the art of Yoga comes from. The morning Yoga classes have been small, so there's a lot of personal attention! I'd love to see the classes grow, to increase the energy during class ... so please join us! After doing Yoga for 5 years, I'm still learning new things and growing in my practice. Thanks, Alternative Health Group, for an excellent Yoga class in Wicker Park!

Pros: No problem parking in the morning ... pull up right in front every time (8am)

After 5 treatments I HAVE LITTLE TO no PAIN IN MY KNEES.I have suffered for about two years. My Westren Drs. wanted me to get a total knee replacement . I still have my knees and as long as I can walk without pain I'm keeping them. I do GO back to the clinic for addtional treatments., I'm so grateful that Alternative Health Group is here!!! My health has improve and I am now taking THI CHI my health and attitude has really improved. I am 60 years old and have found a new lease on life. While at the clinic I have stated to take Chinese herd and vitamins. My energy level has improveed alongwith my mobility.
