Great dentist, Great staff.

Being a college student, its hard to know where to go. As soon as i got there, they were very welcoming. I felt like I had been going there for years. They took care of the bad infection that I had, and explained everything to me. It was not at all rushed. I was never uncomfortable, and will definitely continue going there. Its in a great location, easy to get to by public transportation. Overall great dental care

Why do all of the favorable 5 star reviews seem to have the same writing style? Is it just me or did all the people in Bucktown have the same grammar school teacher?

scam artists/ bad business

I went in for a cleaning/x-ray/exam. aside from having my morning wasted by these crooks, and a few x-rays, i did not get what I paid for. I went in though a groupon deal, which I guess is just a chance for them to give a sales pitch, and not deliver the service they scam people into thinking they are offering. I don't have insurance so when they suggested I could use a deeper cleaning (for 1200 dollars) I said I was aware that it might be necessary, but I would go to my regular dentist where I live in Asia. (80-90% cheaper) Most of the time I was being pitched by the hygienist for lots of services, and being denied my cleaning. the "exam" consisted of the dentist coming in and asking "what can I do for you" 2 minutes later he was gone and so was I. they should be put out of business. I told Groupon about what happened and they gave me my money back, but my morning was wasted in that disgusting crocodile pit(no offense to any crocodiles out there) SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

Great dentists

I had a great experience with Dr. Paguio here. I had a lot of dental work to be done (including two root canals) and they took me through the process surely and steadily, working with me to determine the best treatment process. Now I'm almost done, and my dental health is great! I've also been into the whole process of casting teeth, and they've been very forthcoming with sharing information and explaining how things work. A+. I've never once felt uncomfortable or unsure, they put me right at ease.

One Stop Shop

I, like so many others, spent my 20's far away from the dentist chair out of fear from unwanted news and poking. I'm now in my 30's and I want to take care of myself. I've spent the last two years working closely with Dr. Paguio and his staff on a "treatment plan" to fix years of neglect. Jen is the hygenisist and if Ernie Banks (have her tell you the story) says "she's the best", then you can believe me when I say, she's the best! After her cleanings, I followed her advice and have had white tatar free teeth since. When it came to getting my cavaties filled (four in all), Dr. Paguio worked digently to fill all cavaties and to also prevent any other cavaties from causing future damage and discomfort in my mouth. My teeth have honetly never felt better. By Dr. Paguio putting together a treatment plan I was able to budget for my treatments and also know what work was needed to be done. The office is clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. Lastly, you won't find a more knowable and friendly office staff that awaits your service. Leah works the front and assist the dentist with his patients. She's great with getting you all set up and her smile will lite up the room.

Fine for a cleaning, but nothing more

I read all of the reviews and went in for a cleaning and really liked everyone and the friendliness of the office. After my cleaning it was reco. that I have my old fillings replaced, which I did. It was crazy expensive. Then, a month after he replaced the filling on my tooth it became extremely sensitive and I had to have a root canal. I specifically asked if I should go to a specialist and was told no that he could do it. The tooth became re-infected a few months later. I ended up having an emergency root canal from a specialist when the pain became so extreme over a weekend. I had to pay another $1,000 for the root canal and then pay a different dentist to fix the crown they had to drill through to fix the problem. The specialist told me I had a ?botched job?. I guess a tooth has multiple canals and one entire canal was missed and the other two were not wide or deep enough. So now I?ve paid almost $4,000 for this tooth. Hmmm, doesn?t seem right to me.

Looking for a dentist , look no further

I am so greatful to have found Dr. Paguio and his staff. I would highly recommend The Art of Dental Care to anyone and have to many of my friends already.

The Art of Dental Care has a beautiful office and the staff is extremely personable and genuine. They pair comfort ability with professionalism well.

Dr. Paguio is a very compassionate dentist and really takes all the time needed to explain his procedures as well as let you ask questions and voice any concerns.

Dr. Paguio hygenitist are all helpful, friendly, and easy to talk to.I look forward to seeing them every time!

I am very happy with the care that has been provided for me at The Art of Dental Care, and I am always impressed with the care I receive every time I walk in.

Best Dentist Ever

Dr. Paguio at Art of Dental Care is the best dentist I have found since my lifelong dentist retired a few years ago. I am as comfortable with him and his hygienists as I was with my original dentist of 28 years. His hygienist is very thorough, gentle and professional. He is a great dentist. After a cavity or a little repair work I have felt fine, ie.. the filling is not sensitive etc.. He is very professional but will not put you through procedures just to make a buck. If he suggests you fix something it is because it really needs to be fixed.

I would not consider seeing any other dentist in the city and I recommend him to my family and friends. I dont know how he is with children because I dont have any, but I act like a little kid in the dentist's chair and he and his assistants are great with me.

• Pros: Flexibility with appts, professional, GENTLE, THOROUGH, polite, ...cute assistants
• Cons: assistants are all dating someone

The Art of Dental Care will make you actually not dread going to the dentist!

Great service and an extremely friendly staff. Went in as a new patient for my first visit and felt as if I'd been going there for years. Would definitely recommend them if you're in the market for a dentist in the city.

Very Happy with my experiences with at this practice

Like most, I never really took care of my teeth growing up. Yeah I brushed, and I flossed once in awhile, but never really invested into fixing my teeth when they needed fixing ? thus my cavities and messed up smile. My experience with the Art of Dental Care has been pleasant throughout. I never have to wait long to be seen by Dr. Paguio or otherwise, which is pretty important to me to not have to spend a whole day at the dentist. What I especially appreciate, are the explanations regarding my teeth?s current situation, what I?ve been doing wrong (or not at all, ie. flossing, cleanings, changing out my toothbrush sooner?), what work needs to be done soon, and what needs to be done over the long haul. I feel like most other dentists I?ve had just did stuff, but never really emphasized ALL that needed to be done. This office helped me achieve a game plan for healthier teeth, which is great since I was getting sick of having to chew on one side.

I totally recommend Dr. Paguio, he talks to you, he asks if you ok in the chair while he?s working, and he really invests the time with you as a patient. Office staff is pleasant; Leah especially is great about helping me schedule my next visit and with rescheduling a visit. I?ve had several work done here, from cleanings, fillings, a cap, teeth whitening (definitely recommend) and Invisalgn. I definitely have found a place that I?ll be sticking with!

Hate going to the dentist? You'll love this one!

Three words come to mind when I think of my experience; trustworthy, pain free, & eco-friendly. At the Art of Dental Care they quickly earned my trust with pain free procedures. I also discovered that their state of the art dental imaging minimizes my exposure to radiation & eliminates any need for disposable products. Further, I observed that they utilize computer charting which reduces any paper waste. The office is contemporary, clean, & inviting. Their respect for the patient is evident in how they care for them. My experience was a unique one. It started with a toothache, so I contacted Dr. Paguio and he was able to accommodate me on my preferred date. He also didn?t mind if I brought my baby with me, as I didn?t have anyone to watch him during my appt. time. When I arrived, Leah offered to watch my 6 month old baby during my dental visit. As a new mother, I felt comfortable with this especially since he was within my eye sight. I was seen immediately and to my surprise, Jennifer, the dental hygienist, was great and didn?t touch any of my sensitive areas during my dental cleaning. I could feel my body start to relax. Dr. Paguio then examined my teeth and discovered that I needed a new filling. Before they started, they could probably sense that I was nervous and tense, and Kristin, the clinical coordinator, asked me if I would like to listen to an IPod. Wow! I thought, I?ve NEVER had this kind of offer before. It was great to have the IPod to distract me from all the drilling and buzzing. I felt my body relax as I realized I wasn?t having any pain or discomfort. Before I knew it, they were done. How fantastic to have such a great experience! I never knew such a dental experience could exist! To top it all off, Leah managed to get my baby to take his nap! I recommend checking them out! It's a unique dental experience and one you won't get anywhere else!
