I would avoid this club at all cost. They stole money from my debit card. The customers are lame. The people who work there are even lamer. This was the worst club experience I have had in chicago since I moved here 7 years ago. wow. run in the other direction.
Pros: please believe me when i say "nothing"
Cons: everything

Bar tenders (especially the one that looks like Ronald McDonald) and staff have serious attitude problems. The place should be shut down. It has no business being in this neighborhood or even in this city.

We went there and it was horrible. Miller Lites were $5 and there was a $30 minimum for credit cards. The bartender told an african american patron standing next to me that "you're going to have to wait since I don't expect a tip from someone like you." Needless to say, the guy was not pleased. Regardless, the service was slow and there were 2 bartenders serving the whole bar. Good thing they had like 7 bouncers out front though.

For a club like this in Wicker Park, it has major attitude problems. The bartenders are mediocre and very rude! Drinks shouldnt cost this much. If I wanted expensive drinks with a bunch of posers, then I would of gone to the clubs in downtown. AVOID! Nuff said.
Pros: location
Cons: rude people

I went to the Debonair on the night of New Years Eve. We paid $20 just to get in the door at about 1 a.m., and they were closing at 2. My boyfriend stood at the bar, which was not very busy, for nearly 20 minutes before receiving service. He ordered an energy drink with Vodka; the drink was short and cost $9, which is pricey for this neighborhood. The bartender then proceeded to spill his drink as she was giving him back his receipt. She continued to help other customers and neglected to refill his drink. After several minutes, as she stood idly dancing and eating her pizza, I tapped her on the shoulder and said "Excuse me, can you refill this drink that you spilled?" She rolled her eyes at me, brushed me off with a hand gesture and walked away. Shocked, I said more loudly, "Excuse me!" and she flipped me off. As you can imagine, we were furious and atempted to speak to a manager, which we were denied. Another bartender said she would "get" the manager, and she walked away and never returned. My boyfriend asked a bouncer, and he too would not let him speak to the club manager. This incident ruined our evening, not to mention it was a total waste of $50. Plus, neither the music and atmosphere were worth the cover charge. This is a great neighborhhood, and there are plenty of other bars and clubs worth going to.
Cons: Service
