I think the package is still called "mile high". Get and you will know why this is the best pampered hotel in chicago! I hope you in joy!!!
Stop by our restaurant, David Burke's Primehouse, a modern interpretation of the classic Chicago steakhouse, and get your night started at our lounge, J Bar. The James Chicago also features The Gym, The Spa, and a friendly 24-hour concierge service to get you exclusive access to all the hottest spots in town.
A great find!

We had never heard of this hotel but booked a room through Hotwire after a snafu with the reservation at another hotel. What a lucky break! Service was impeccable and friendly, all of our requests (early check-in, non-smoking room, request to hold our bags for a few hours after checkout) were politely granted. The clientele seem pretty hip and mostly international. Reviews on other sites mention noise - there was some noise, but it is the big city and to be expected. Hotel is very pet-friendly (although we left ours at home). Room was clean, comfortable, attractive, and very functional. Gym and Kiehl's toiletries were nice amenities. Only downside is that the advertised refrigerators in the rooms house the minibar so there is not really room for anything extra that you might bring back to your room. We will definitely stay here again!
- Pros: location, modern rooms, amenities, service
- Cons: no city view
High-tech amenities, an Aveda spa and clean lines are trademarks of this modern boutique hotel.

In Short
This River North hotel takes on masculine furnishings with leather seating, sleek platform beds, 42-inch plasma televisions and stereo systems with Mp3/iPod docks. But it goes even further than other hotels in the boutique class by offering an Aveda spa onsite, along with David Burke's Primehouse, where dry-aged steaks are handpicked from a Kentucky farm. Other amenities include a fitness center with a sauna and treatment rooms for spa services, meeting spac and on-site dining.

The James is in a perfect location in Chicago. The staff was attentive and professional. No hitches the entire stay. Room worked, quiet, good air, and nice lay out. Would stay here again in a second.
- Pros: location
