My husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner at Macchu Picchu last night. We were pretty hungry, so it was nice to be seated right away and to receive bread and aji (that delicious spicy and garlicky green sauce) immediately. Our server was attentive and our water glasses were never empty. For our meal, we ordered one of the dinners for 2, which is really more a dinner for 3-4. We had the ceviche mixto (delicious), substituted the tamal for a papa relleno (fabulous), the papa huancaina (good but sort of bland compared to the first two items), and the seafood paella (so-so -- not enough salt or saffron and had a strange sweetness to it; the mussels were very strongly flavored). We left stuffed and overall happy with our choices. We'll likely be back for a meal of ceviche, papa relleno, and some sort of steak dish. A good experience overall.
