By Katie M. I have been looking for a med spa in Chicago that offered lipodissolve because I recently moved into the city. I went in for a consultation and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. They made sure I was educated about the services that I would be getting and answered the many many quesitons that I had. Even more impressive than the service and the location, I am so happy with the results. This came in perfect time for my summer bikini. Thanks Nu U for the amazing service!!

Since the summer is right around the corner, I was looking for a med spa in Chicago that offered laser hair removal. I have been getting bikini waxes for 4 years now and I am ready to get laser. I went in for a consultation and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. They made sure I was knowledgeabel about the services that I would be getting and answered the many quesitons that I had. So far so good!! I have gone in for about 3 treatments so far and I can already see the results. Since I have been very pleased with the services that Nu U provides, I am planning on getting my arms lasered next. Thanks Nu U for the amazing service!!

I just spend $9000. for the Contrage treatment to my face and neck. I had 5 treatments and have absolutely no change in appearance. What a scam and a big waste of time. I will be taking Nu U to court for a full refund. I have a good case against them. I would love to hear from anyone else who has tried this treatment at Nu U Med Spa.

Pros: nice facility

Cons: complete scam for contrage service since it does not work

I am actually in the medical field and was extremely happy with my experience at nu u. I never felt pressured by anyone there and they actually knew what they were talking about. As for their prices, you get what you pay for, and their services are well worth it. I was quoted on lipo dissolve with the laser for my stomach. The manager told me I would need 6 treatments to be truely satisfied and she was right! We can all be impatient and want something to work in 1 treatment but I was patient and listened to her advice and it paid off big. I've lost 5 1/2 inches from my waist! If you ask me nu u med spa is definetly worth checking out. Tami

I have to say that when I first walked in the door that it wasn’t what I anticipated. I guess that I expected a cold sterile doctors office, but quickly found the Chicago medical spa to be warm and the staff inviting. While there I received a free consultation and was treated for Laser Hair Removal that day. Many of the procedures that I have only heard or read about were being offered at a very affordable price with interest free financing. I’m not one to usually write about this sort of thing, but I feel so good about my experience that I want to tell every about it. Prior to leaving the spa, I signed up for Lipodissolve and Botox directly following my Hair Removal treatment.

I've had three treatments of laser hair removal and it has CHANGED MY LIFE!! (Yes, I know that I sound like a drama queen... But until you experience it yourself, you have NO idea how much it effects my everyday life!!! In the past, I couldn't wear skirts if I didn't have time to shave that day... My showers would be an extra 10 minutes (Hey, an extra 10 minutes every day ADDS UP!!!)... I had to spend a lot of money on razors (Those suckers get expensive!!)... I had razor burn from trying to quickly shave my arm pits before I ran out the door... Of course I had those occasional (horrible) ingrown hairs... I can go ON AND ON about how not having to worry about these things has literally CHANGED MY LIFE... but this review is supposed to be about Nu U Med Spa... My mom has been telling me for years that I should get laser hair removal, but she warned me that it is very painful... However the hair removal laser at Nu U is PAIN FREE!!!!!!!! I loved everything about Nu U. It was the third medical spa I went to (I was price shopping... I'm not cheap, but I dont want to throw away money)... Of the three places I went, Nu U was my favorite... I could have gotten a slightly lower price at S*na Med Spa (about $25 discount), but in my life, I've learned that cheaper isnt always better! (See, I told you I'm not cheap!) :) Nu U had a much nicer environment, very (genuine) friendly staff (a bunch of cool women). Their prices were very fair (I was originally just going to get my legs done, but they gave me a very good discount to do my armpits also, and I cant turn down a good sale!!) :) The best part was that I was able to get my treatments done that SAME DAY!!!! (Talk about instant gratification!!). Needless to say, I have been very happy with everything at Nu U Med Spa and I definitely recommend it to anyone (My next 'mission' is to try the lipo dissolvre!!... I'll keep you all posted on that too!!!!) Pamper yourselves, ladies! We all deserve it!!

Hey all, just perusing the Net on the job (stop we all do it) and some of the reviews caught my eye. Thought I'd give my two cents, so here we go... First off i just have to say I REALLY like this place, I've been coming for months for lazer treatment (hmmm I'm not telling where). The people are really polite, its clean, and i like the fact that the esthetician respects my modesty. Secondly, some of these other reviews look a little bogus. I'm talking about the bad ones. Take it with a grain of salt ladies. My dad is a VERY famous restauranteur , and you'd be surprised how many bad reviews are COMPETITORS (yes they give themselves away read between the lines) . Or they might be friends bashing the place because one had a bad experience (it happens). Anyway, Its a great place, I have a couple of girlfriends that get things done there as well. As with any place, gathering data is a great idea, and making an informed descion is key! Its back to work for me, Ciao and don't forget to pamper yourselves ladies! Pros: clean, friendly, professional Cons: Parking can be pain but.... its Lincoln Park (Duh)

Nu U Medspa is listed as a participant in the Pretty City "Pretty in Pink" promotion in which they will be offering $31 spa treatments in order to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. According to the website: "You MUST mention that you are booking a "Pretty in Pink" treatment when booking appointments. No coupon necessary. No restrictions apply." I just wanted to alert Citysearch readers that this is a serious "bait and switch" offer. The company uses the $31 offer to get customers in the door and then aggressively attempts to up-sell them packages in the range of $2000. I mentioned that I was booking a "Pretty in Pink" appointment at the time of my call. When I arrived for my consultation, I was told that I could not pay $31 for just one service and that I would have to purchase a package in order to get the $31 price on the first service. They have every right to try and up-sell, but to tell me that they will not honor the $31 offer is unacceptable. Needless to say, I left the facility without any treatments and I will not be back.

Ok I really have to say I never take the time out to do these reviews and all that but when I am passionate about something and really like it or dislike i I have to tell anyone who will listen. I am the type of person that expects excellent customer service and a nice appearance in staff and the place. Well enough about me cause I could go on all day this place has met every expectation and then some. I love the decor very neat and posh and the people that work there are well groomed and sooo nice. Now the actual service I have to look my best for my job and I am at the age I notice a couple of things I dislike. So my botox was done by a sweet nurse and I love my results. I also workout all the time and I still have a muffin top! So I am doing the lipo dissolve treatments I have already lost 6 pounds and 2 inches I look great in my jeans and feel so good when I do my public speaking! Really if you want to be treated well and look good check out Nu U Med Spa in Lincoln Park

I've seen a lot of ads in the Red Eye about NU U MED SPA so I decided to check it out because of the 50% discount they were offering on lipo dissolve. (I had looked into liposuction for my stomach in the past but am not a fan of elective surgery). My experience was GREAT. I was greeted right away and offerred something to drink, and everyone was very friendly. The woman I spoke with answered all my questions about lipo dissolve... she DID warn me that I may experience some swelling. I was a little nervous about getting the treatment (this was my first time doing something like this), but the nurse was great and helped me to feel very comfortable. The entire process took only about 20 minutes. Afterwards, the nurse gave me an ice pack to take home in case I had any swelling. I experienced some puffiness (similar to when I have PMS) and a little soreness, but nothing serious. I'm looking forward to my next treatment!!!!

Pros: An alternate to surgery!!!
